This is why OLTL shouldn’t have made Todd the killer. They should’ve pushed Rex over the edge, but they went right to having Todd being the villain again right when he came back after eight years.
I personally believe they should have made Brody the killer. He knew Victor knew about John being Liams father and didn’t want the truth to come out. It was really all lined up for him
But not really because Todd didn't remember it... They messed around with both Todd and Victor's brains. Todd didn't realize that he shot him until he started having flashbacks

But she did ask him rather emotionally to stay on the island with her. I can imagine she might feel abandoned, especially given the timing of his departure which was right after they did the deed and the reason for it, which was Blair. And he did abandon her in the sense that, when he got back, Vicki had to push him to call authorities to rescue Tea and Ross. Also, Vicki pointed out that he took the only raft.
I kinda wish Todd hadn’t been the killer, it’s both cheap and too easy. I know Todd’s never gonna innocent, but it would’ve been nice if he hadn’t been conning Dani and Starr.

He wasn't conning them. Just like Victor he was tortured and brainwashed for 8 years so he didn't remember killing him at first.
