A true royal Packard, so gourgeus and stunning wonderfull car, fantastic superb car from the batcave 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum from tom your friend always 🤩 🤩
That device under the hood was not power brakes but the Electromatic Clutch. Vacuum assisted clutch for gear shifting before the advent of automatic transmissions.
The item you thought was a power brake booster is actually a part of the Electromatic Clutch. You’ll find the “Clutch” switch on the dash on the right side of the panel. A rarely-maintained option that’s worth a few minutes of reading. Beautiful car!
HI Jay, my grandfather owned a 1952 Desoto - the dash was metal with wood grain on it. I remember him telling me how it was painted white with a special paint and the wood grain was imprinted like a photograph - I think it was a pretty common practice in the auto industry at the time. Do you know anything more about it ?
Some people find it beautiful but next to the 48 Cadillac... A good total restyle for the Clipper's body was needed and the 51 style was not that great either, selling lesser priced cars going for volume instead of prestige diluted the marque plus the absence of a V8 all but killed Packard, very bad management overall...

Powerbrakes must have been Nice to such a huge 🦇 batmobile 🏁
Thank for restoring these cars, I know theirs a lot of machine work involved, specs and hard work!

Very reasonably priced!
Very Beautiful. And not a Bad Asking Price, to be able to own a Piece of American Automotive History!!

Beautiful! Do you still have 1951 model 48D, Buick Special Deluxe! 2dr tourback sedan! In Teal?
That's a nice car but I really love the styling of the Packard's during the 1930s more..

Why doesn't anybody bother to show how to open the hood on these packards?
We pre-open all the hoods because it just makes it easier for the flow of the video.
@VoloMuseumAutoSales but of all the vids on YT of Packards, not 1 shows the process of how to release & properly open the hood.
