@@PBNJ95 I could see it either way if our back end can play above average we will be dominant. I hate when our bats get into slumps, but being able to win with 2 runs is something I had little faith in, but good teams can do.
I bashed Rojas a lot this offseason until recently when I took my head out of the playoff loss and realized how exciting the kid actually is because I think he is a way better hitter than he showed in the playoffs. Merrifield is a solid around the edges addition. Love this team! Love the owner! Love Dave Dombrowski! GO PHILS!!!!
TURN ME UP PHILLY! I believe this team wins 95 games and wins the division this year. Phillies have to win it all at some point in the harper era, why not this year. Teams healthy, turner can't be any worse than last season (dark hourse mvp for this season) Sanchez fastball velo is up 2-3 MPH. This team has what it takes and if they don't sign snell/montgomery before the season, they will for sure make a big time splash at the trade deadline. Oh 1 more thing, keep dancing on my own! 3rd times a charm with that tune and we win it all for the city!
IMO, they overpaid Nola by about 5M a year, but 2.5M is to keep him from ending up in Atlanta. If he can pitch around 200 innings a season for the next 4+, and can get over his playoff issues more consistently, it's a good contract. I just have my doubts after the last 2 years of him.
@@jaredwolbert9931 Yeah, there really isn't anyone comparable so thus the overpay. I'm just glad it's not 30+. Wheeler looking like he's going to get 40 over 4, which again, not really a better option. Not my money/my money at the same time since ticket prices will go up. My kids love the games they have been able to attend, but I can't afford $80 a ticket for 4-5 people.
When has running it back ever worked in sports when a team didnt win. Just dont see this team changing as far as hitting in playoffs. They whole lineup dies at same time whicb is amazing
There aren’t any other options besides digging into our prospect pool for big trades. We’re already well past the luxury tax so huge free agent signings aren’t on the table, and any big trades dent our long term success. These small deals like with Whit are the best we can do without collapsing in the future.
Ask him does he realize the two relievers the team is counting on as closers have been injured off and in the last two seasons. Ranger ? Walker? Sanchez? Marsh. Rojas wete platooned. ? The team has had offense problems off and on. Jorden mongomery should be signed.

We'll be in Detroit, too...I think this will be our year...the boys got so close in '22 and '23...they'll be playing with a chip on their shoulders...
