Great solution, I have had the same problem since last summer will try and let you know !! By the way, with regard to the other problem with shifting. It is your ground wire that bolts on to the intake manifold. It's located on the driver's side just follow the wiring harness going to the fuel injectors.
Man you know how much I've been through Trying to figure this out I changed the fuel injectors two times and some other parts but guess what u solve the problem great video thanks i really appreciate it
i have a 98 accord ex, it vibrates badly at idle when in drive with the brakes on at a stop sign. give it some gas and its smooth but idle in drive at a stop vibrates like mad.just replaced the battery and its surging at idle to 3000 rpm, uuuf never ends.....
When you run your engine to where the fan cycle twice. After that what did you do leave it on and let go of the gas or turn it off after the second cycle?
Tried this with my jdm swap and still have surge issues the fan activated twice in the cycle and everything once the 5 mins were up I let go of the gas and still had a surge issue do you think it might be bc I have air in the coolant system bc I added coolant to to the radiator till full and also in the reserve but didn’t purge the air, also the air control valve was cleaned before installing so idk about that the last thing I want to deal with is a vacuum leak but any ideas
Wow, am having the same problems with idle surge, and when I change gear(in reverse )., it slams. Am gonna try that and see. Everything was working fine until I took it to get a oil change and replaced a vtech solenoid gasket!😢
Yes, I noticed right away that the JDM engine was a little bit more zippy than the American counterpart. I think it's because the compression is a bit higher in the JDM.
Basically in the middle of the engine, right up against the firewall on the intake manifold. I will post a couple pages from the service manual so you can see.
For the computer module to relearn the idle, you have to hold the gas pedal at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes. This will allow the computer (engine control module) to relearn the idle and should reset at about 750 rpm
@@keithsgaragewestcoast1613 yeah I get that,I can't even get my rpm up to 3000,I have to feather the throttle.i do have a bad catalytic converter.im suspecting that is giving me my throttle problems. What do you think?
This is so stupid my guy and it doesn’t even work, just do the regular drive cycle for resetting the computer to relearn the engine if ur having issues but with surging it’s as simple as checking ur intake all around making sure vacuums are all hooked up and then checking the sensors…. Just because it came out of the Honda manual doesn’t mean it’ll fix ur issue nor does it make it a smart idea lol, ur asking for valve lash on a brand new motor if you rev it straight to 3,000 rpm on a cold start. Dude isn’t even help within the comments either, that should be the biggest red flag

How do you get the egr for the vtec? I have the vtec to the car ecu directly, what do I have to connect

Once you take the idle down with pressure on the accelerator it will correct itself.
im getting my 01 2.3l JDM too...I will watch this video closer...

Gonna try this on my f23a4. Replaced my IACV new throttle body gasket no vacuum leaks but I have a surge something awful.
Did you ever solve the problem cuz I have the same engine too?
This dude is no help in the comments

Howdy, did you get to fix the problem with the reserve slamming and/or idle issue? If so how? Help please thank you 🙏
Just got a jdm 2.3 same problem.are these motors faster ?

Where is the idle air control valve located on 1999 accord sedan

Yeah after cleaning my egr passages, my idle is messed up and goes from 1800-3000 every second
After cleaning the EGR passeges I also feel a slight surge at low rpms taking off?? Anyone has that happened and what was the correction or fix?
By the way it is a Honda Accord Lx 1999 sedan 2.3 4 cyl
U-pull-it of engine oil 5 litre petrol
Is it 4 L of 5 l

Did this work for anybody else?
This procedure is taken right out of the Honda Service manual that dealerships have and I have one of those too.
Mine is in limp mode it won’t go over 3,000
U ever figure it out
@@davidlopez-ph4uj i think it’s was iacv it was about two years ago
The temperature has nothing to do with it. Because I don't use a thermostat
You talked to much and didn't show anything 🤔😬
this shit didnt work at all

Dats your motor mount
