Thank for you sharing this gem! Not sure about everyone else, but any little video or audio file with Wynton in it is a treasure for me 🔥
Wynton the clarinet you played on David Crosby's album was superb. Just beautiful.
hey bobby. i appreciate you sharing this learning opportunity, not just for you but for all of us that want to become as skillful as wynton. i also want to applaud you for not cutting yourself out of the video so we would have further context leading up wynton. hope that life is treating you well and please don't delete this gem from the internet. have a blessed day wherever you are
I meant to include my original solo, which was much better than what I showed, but I accidentally erased it when I tried to convert from VHS to CD. I think what Wynton played over E major is quite extraordinary.
NOBODY F's with Wynton! His sense of melody is impeccable when he solos!
The different nuances in his playing is what sets him apart!
Electrono9 All respect to Mr. Morrison, but nobody is taking Wynton to school 😂
Man - Bobby is the MAN! Jamming with Wynton.
That is such a beautiful moment. I love your sound. You looked hip and you were really swinging with that song.
Level of legend
he dropping the wisdom in this clip

Perfeito
YES.
Thanks for sharing! Do you still play?
Sur, yes, thanks for commenting. I’ve posted a few videos under Bobby Roubal.
What trumpet Wynton Marsalis is using in this video?
Monette Raja custom made. He has played a lighter-weight monette in recent years
@@jeannetteduette6704 His sound in person is unreal! Very big, warm, resonant, soulful, swinging, and it is really like magic
😯 I’m going to get some sleep 😴

I'm afraid that there's no substitute for talent ... many are called, but few are chosen.
This song is in F, not E :)
Agreed, but Wynton made me play in E. Wynton then proceeded to play a few choruses with the same ease as F. He is a master musician beyond words..
ahaha trumpeter Brandon Lee has a lot of stories about Wynton, whom he studied with at Julliard in early 2000s
If you’re good will love you if not as good laugh at you - music society are not practicing human standards. Not mention we obey new world order....
I could listen to Wynton all day
