How to reduce puffy eyes - Get rid of under eye puffiness
There are many causes of puffy eyes, including allergies, heredity and, the effects of a late night out. Professional makeup artist Vinnetta Scrivo shows you how to reduce under eye puffiness.
People who can wake up and not worry about their eye bags anger me
You should have used a model who has puffy eyes. Your model doesn't have them.
I've been researching reducing effects of getting older at home and discovered a fantastic resource at Nirca fresh look (google it if you are interested)

U r right
@@LaraJillZafra ok
the model reminds me of laura palmer.
also i am genuinely amazed at the significant difference i saw after you took those patches off!
This was made quit a while ago but we like Yonka Phyto-Contour Eye Firming Cream with Rosemary Extracts Dark Circle Eye Treatments and Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Instant Treatment eye Mask. Both are found at Amazon. Hope that helps. :)
Cold water constricts, not dilates. Ring finger is the weakest, not the middle, don't go inward when you massage. So many things wrong here...

:-/ Next time use a model who really has puffy (bags) eyes
Waw
They must die!
Great Video but I have some comments. Firstly, cold water and/or ice does not cause vasoDILATION but rather vasoCONSTRICTION. This is the reason why we use ice to reduce the swelling associated with sprains. Swelling is caused by the escape of fluid by vasodilated blood vessels secondary to localized inflammation and trauma. By applying ice these blood vessels tighten up or vasoconstrict thereby reducing the swelling.
I thought the middle finger is the strongest and the ring finger gives less pressure...?
Tori M yea me too
@sd167 yeah, you might be right, but i did read before that the reason why cold water dilates the vessels is because the room temperature is warmer, so after you wash with cold water your vessels dilate and thus your circulation improves. That is why they say is good to shower with cold water, just think about the opposite when you take a hot bath it feels so cold right after.
When the skin temperature falls below about 10°C, the surface blood vessels dilate (get wider) rather than constrict, If the temperature falls further periods of blood vessel dilation alternate with periods of constriction, This is because your body is trying not to lose heat from the extremities, but at the same time wants to supply the skin with blood for oxygen and nutrients. This is an excerpt from a website.

Those eye patches really work! I used them a few weeks ago. Need to buy more.
There are several brands on the market we used one with rosemary and herbal mint.
@Houseitch cold water closes up PORES but dilates BLOOD VESSELS = circulation. That's why cold patches are used on cellulite areas...they improve the circulation...that's the way she was going according to the eyes! xoxo
Green tea bags work well if you have puffy eyes due to allergies and help with the itching.
@TaintedxHalo Yeah you're right, hot water dilates, not cold water. Though she said it wrong, you do want to use the cold water to constrict the vessels to reduce the puffiness, but you'd just be better off sleeping more instead of lowering blood flow through your body.
No you want to sweep outward of the bone to drain the lymphatic fluid from the area. Not sweep inward.
Grand job reducing those non puffy eyes :|
I will try these techniques, but it would have been better if I knew the name of the products that are being used.
Of course, I appreciate your time.
Wow! Those patches REALLY worked! My eyes are puffed from way too much time looking at my PC screen and lack of sleep. I usually take 1 day a week and make sure to avoid my PC and TV :( and get 8-9 hours of sleep. That pretty much refreshes me for 3-4 days. Now I'm going to try those patches for the other 3 days of the week.
Can you recommend which sheets you used?
--I couldn't add this in my last post because it was too long, but should also try to avoid any type of steam as well. This morning I woke up with slightly puffy eyes, and I had to skip on using my facial steamer. So frustrating! lol
The model seems more concerned about ruining her eye make up than her eye bags 😂
Lima Begum Hello, thank you for your share people. My husband bought me cream Lumera and it's really perfect...I used it 2 days and my Eye wrinkles is smaller :) Thank you to my husband... He bought this cream on Ebay.
Susan Pali You said this in the last couple of videos I watched. Are you a spokesperson for this company?
Yes, everyone can benefit. good luck.
And watching this 3:30 in the morning
@Jantzy1 no you are wrong index finger has the heaviest weight. She is right. You should always use middle finger.
i saw a bit of difference after the patch treatment, but a before and after shot would have been nice to compare.

Susan Pali You're on every video saying the same thing. I was thinking that maybe you're a spokesperson for this company, but it's apparent that you're just SPAMMING.
Cold water may work, but it does not dilate vessels...
So glad the you are better!
Hi, I'm fourteen years old, and a generally healthy teen. I've been having such trouble with the bags under my eyes and I want them gone as soon as possible. Can you take a second and read this comment? (: I've tried the used tea bag thing (20 min), I've tried ice (15 min), I've tried sleeping sitting up, and I've also tried putting cold milk on a paper towel (10 min). None of these have helped! I'm a little skeptical about trying cucumbers now considering all the other stuff I've tried.
Wow now you are 21
@@kartiksachdeva4302 LMAO
Helpful information. I didn't know that those pads were available. Great post, thanks!
Fascinating - and effective - techniques!
Wow, the difference is distinct. i'm on my way out to get a set of eye treatment masks! Thanks!
wait.... Liesl has absolutely no bags under her eyes to begin with!

If you don't have a cucumber on hand, ice will work just as well. It's the cold temperature of the cucumber that alleviates the swelling more so than the actual cucumber itself.--Albeit, it is definitely more relaxing to sit for 10 minutes with a frozen cucumber than ice. Also, try to avoid hot showers; if you take a shower, either cover your face (a cold rag would work) or take a cold shower--I know that sounds awful, but then again, so are puffy eyes!
you can see the difference...wow....your a genious
try working on these exercises. However, sometimes heredity and genetics win.
Also, another tip is to take a teaspoon, and put it in the fridge for half an hour. then press it down directly under each eye for 10-15 seconds and you have less puffiness.
thanks, this video
helps lot ,
blessings !!
How about which comes by over age? does it work!
10 minutes? who wants to sit there with cucumbers on your eyes for 10 minutes when you wake up in the morning? i barely have enough time to get ready as it is!
you can put your eyecream in the fridge and apply it as well or keep in the fridge like eyemaks i don t know how you call that but it has a gel inside and it works or just takes ice cubes
Are they still wrinkly ad purple? Could it be allergies? Did you have your heater turned on? The dry heat of the heater blowing can really cause some eye issues for some people. Have you seen a doctor?
Cold water constricts vessels, it doesn't dilate them.
Chloe Dillion
@pearlyone1 that's what she said, cold water to make the pores smaller.
@beti05 No... why do you think medical advice is to use ice on a minor injury? It reduces swelling and constricts blood vessels to minimise bruising
Two points of misinformation here:
-As mentioned, cold does not dilate, but constricts. Personally, I use a warm compress & gentle pressure 1st, to dilate the vessels & encourage fluid to leave the area. Then immediately splash w/ cold h2o to constrict & prevent fluid from pooling into the are again.
-The RING finger, NOT the middle finger should be used when applying anything around the eyes. The RING finger is the finger that gives the least amount of pressure. I thought everyone knew that!
@midnull ... you're completely right. I'm really sorry. I can't even remember writing that... I think I was having a bad day... and I don't think what i said is true.
I tried cold water as fast as I could stand and it really worked.
have tried the cold water and cucumber didnt make any difference at all.......
That model didn't have bags under her eyes.
I know of two home remedies:
1. lay slices of raw, chilled potatoes on your bags for ten mins.
2. use your ring finger to smear a little preperation H ( chilled in the fridge ) on the area.
You don't know what is the puffy eyes😃
liked the video but pls could u give us the brand name for the products u suggested?
You had so many aosome ideas
she has no puffy eyes that I see
Good Tip, still need some simple tip that can any person use to protect eyes from Dark circle and Puffiness.
My problem isn't puffy eyes , it's just that I have really bad dark circles
Have you been on an allergy medication? Sometimes the meds alone can take care of it esp. if it is the allergies that caused it. Just a thought. :)
She said to splash cold water onto your face to dilate vessels. No... cold water would constrict them. Then she said that the middle fingers would apply the least amount of pressure. No...that would be the ring fingers. Redo this ad, folks!
you seem reluctant to name the products, but it looked like it really worked.. could I ask you to name a few of the ones you like.. the eye patches, & the eye cream... just to give us an idea of where to find these? thank you.
sorry i think cold water is to contrict blood vessels, while lukewarm is to dilates is it right , pls respond
what if i was born with eye bags already.. i dont like them how can i get rid of them...
My problem is above not under the eye.
id recommend the dr hauschka eye balm, it works very well with the massage shown in the video around your eyes :)
amazononlinesales.com/wp/dr-hauschka-contour-eye-balm
Take a look at cosmetics database org, there might be lead in that eyeliner, which is not good, it can be absorbed into your system. For waterbased, non-toxic makeup (like nailpolish), someone told me about Honeybee Gardens or Suncoat Products, but, I think you ladies would look fine without any makeup!
@FriendlyKelly i think because her head looks yellow. her skin tone is dangerously close to her hair colour.
Cold used tea bags work.Brew a cup of tea (any kind) and when you are done with tea bag but it in freezer.Once it is cold, place on your eyes.Poof be gone!!!
You can get them at Amazon.com.
It´s also very good to massage under your eyes with Almond oil in the evening.
She's so pretty 😍
Thank you this is very helpful.
cold water is a vassel constrictor not a diolator baby
thanks for sharing this great vid :) my sis used to have really terrible dark eye bags that makes her look like a panda, after i got her the dr hauscka eye balm, her dark eye bags and puffiness around her eyes has improved by a good 70-80%! id really recommend using this product if u want to say goodbye to your panda eyes!
of course, it will work better if tag along with the massage around your eyes as shown in the video :) here's the link of the eye balm i talked about btw

Thank you. I have been working overnight .big thanks ..
wow those eye sheets really made a difference!! thatd be great for special occasions! how much are they does anyone know?
I thought the ring finger had the least pressure, not the middle one.
the middle finger is not the most gentle finger to use. u should use your ring finger.
Hopeful to find out what is the brand name for the eye patches or eye sheets. I used to buy eye patches like these through Avon years ago. They don't sell them anymore.
+LANA GALTMAN These look exactly like Shiseido's "Benefiance WrinkleResist 24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask." They come in a box & each packet of 2 pads (masks) are sealed in a tray. Hope this helps. Cheers.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE PATCH PRODUCT YOU PUT UNDER THE EYE?
Your last name reminds me of someone I used to hear on a radio program 4 years ago I believe was connected to Martha Stewart. Are you the same person that would do guest spots on her radio program? I did enjoy them as I drove to work back then.
@MelancholyArmy it's because of the foundation and shimmering blush i guess and later cuz of the products that the lady uses on her face.
do a hand stand for around 3 weeks for a great facelift
@SiosZesu I totally do that a few times a week and it WORKS. Two organic green tea bags soaked in cold water-placed on you eyes for 5 to 10 min.
Dear Guru, could you recommend or upload a video for eye lids as well, please? What products work for the lids? Thank you
Not necessarily, mine are genetic..I've had them since I was a baby and they won't go away. :( It sucks looking like you're tired all of the time.
I agree with the comments! if she can not get right two basic things like the cold water effect and what finger is the one with less pressure..... The entire video and the reputation of howdini went down the drain for me!
How long do we have to freeze the cucumber slices for?
How many times a week should i use this patch?
Good tips, I'll try the cucumber. The massages have worked well for me. But question, I have always thought your ring finger was the one that had the least pressure?
"Place the cucumber under your eye for ABOUT TEN MINUTES. That will reduce the puffiness almost IMMEDIATELY"
LOLWAT?
Where can I buy these products I. Your video? Thank you.
I was today years old when I saw this video. I only watched howdini's cake vids
@MelancholyArmy it looks greasy because they couldn't put powder on her face.
wow that eye patch did a major difference
already
What brand of eye patches do you suggest?
Also, any brand/kind of eye sealer do you recommend?
Any luck finding them?
Number please call 9717299882
Thank you so much
When she said eye patch, I thought she meant the eye patch that's for pirates lol
PuppyCat705 🤭🤣
0:50 but I thought cold causes vasoconstriction, not vasodilation? She said it causes dilation of the blood vessels, then constricts the skin... Usually with cold, it causes vasoconstriction, not dilation. This kinda confused me. Maybe she misspoke? 🤔
what do you do if the cucumber makes your eyes itch? i know *dont use them then* but what else could i use?
