So true, I became interested in foraging as an adult and went back to the island I'm from that my parents still lived on. I took a hike I'd taken many many time before and was amazed that literally 80% of the plants on the trail were edible (it's a particularly plentiful area though because the indigenous people cultivated it for thousands of years).

So true, I became interested in foraging as an adult and went back to the island I'm from that my parents still lived on. I took a hike I'd taken many many time before and was amazed that literally 80% of the plants on the trail were edible (it's a particularly plentiful area though because the indigenous people cultivated it for thousands of years).

1. Wild onions scrambled egg noodle
2. Pastry with the skin made of Wormwood juice, sticky rice, and lard. The fillings were made of preserved duck egg yok, dried pork floss, and mayonnaise
3. Solomon’s-Seal tofu soup
4. Cold mixed Semiaquilegia with dried tofu
5. Smoked chicken with fern moss
6. Chinese angelica tree sprouts stirred fried with Chinese bacon
7. Stirred fried water celery with hot chili oil
8. Chameleon plant egg soup
9. Wild chive mixed with flour and salt and pepper in a pan-fried pastry
