im gonna try and tune in with the streams more when I have Time in my schedule they seem like such a fun place where I can shiny hunt and enjoy content at the same time! also do you remember your first shiny fail? mine was a hoothoot in ultra moon I caught it then named it lemon pie and my DS ran out and I forgot to save and from now on whenever I find or see a shiny I save immediately so I think it was a valuable lesson 😅
The stream is a nice play to interact with the community for sure, it would be nice to see you there tbh I haven’t really failed any shinies until SV because I was mostly a masuda method hunter XD

Bro, I had a cycle down trying to get my son a shiny Alpha Ursaring, and I eventually just had to get a shiny Teddy in Paldea instead 😂 Btw, there's a Peat Block spot to the right of the main camp, just over the hill. Took me hours....after I accidentally reset without saving the first Peat Block I found within 5 minutes 🤷♂️

OH MY GOD YOU NAMED THE LUCARIO LEMON JUST LIKE MINE!!!! Lucario is my favorite Pokemon of all time and I got a Shiny Riolu and named him Lemon :D I grinded all ribbons for him and everything.

permutations means you switch the order of how you catch and defeat them right ?
Like you I’ve been on my alpha quest, you inspired me to do this and recently I’ve been doing a mmo of Monferno and 44 permutations in I feel like giving up.

How much of a difference does the shiny charm make?
It makes a huge difference. With the shiny charm in pla you will probably increase you shiny count by a lot. I don’t know the exact number
s. But I know it makes a big difference.
When you have a Pokémon that is research level ten (which will be all of them when you get the shiny charm) your odds go down to 1/2048. When you have the shiny charm, the odds go down to 1/1024 (which is 4x odds).
I definitely notice the difference ALOT when it came to resetting for the shiny alphas
I have not noticed a huge number when it comes to first encounter in mass outbreaks but where I have noticed a huge amount is random shinies on the maps.
