You guys have my interest! I appreciate how you take the time to dive into these details on the daily drive, not everyone does that to give the buyer confidence.
Please, more footage of driving the car would be appreciated. Also, I bet the results will be even better with the 8 speed auto. This is awesome. Having the Hemi performance out of the 3.6 Pentastar. The 3.6 is a robust engine and your supercharger is just a natural/complimentary addition!
The explanation and knowledge base was really impressive to watch. That is a serious power jump for the v6. I am too cheap to put one in mine but would love to drive one with it installed
once again a video packed w/ info, talked to someone on staff today, very helpful very cordial youngman, answered my questions politely, and professionally, be glad for that , good help is sooooo hard to find nowadays !!! this fine young man even gave me advise on your kit for my jeep, im still saving up, hope i can get a ripp this year said it before i say it again, your videos sold your kit ! thanxx braddah !
I've been in contact with your company for months now, and seriously can not wait! I'll be purchasing one the day it releases! I'll also be posting before and after dyno sessions! 2014 challenger 5 speed auto.
Fist let me say that I am not advocating one way or another on supercharging your vehicle, I will just point out that for someone that is considering buying one of these, if you have not purchased your car yet, you may want to look around at what the higher trim levels cost. By the time you purchase this product at $6800 you may be able to afford a higher trim level. If you already own one, keep in mind that if you still have a B2B warranty, in all likelihood, you will void it with this install. Now, if you really want to do this install, and are mechanically savvy enough to do it yourself, it is fun and worth it (despite the price tag).
What other mods do you need with the supercharger? I have a 2017 challenger , I'm interested in one, but have no clue about car mods lol. Any imput would be appreciated! Thanks
Where's my kit for 2012 T&C minivan??? Due to family, we go to the Adirondack National's car show in the bla-bla mini van. Gotta juice it up! Make it dads' style. Then it would be worthy of 60's metal flake, and cruising Lake George😎
I really enjoyed the video. Do you plan to show other vehicles , especially the jeep grand cherokee on road with the Ripp kit . I'm interested in possibly getting one. keep up the good work guys
I almost got an AWD Challenger (my dream car but V6) because i love how these Superchargers affect the sound etc... but thanks to the lovely car market it was cheaper to literally buy a new other car. Shame (well sort of)

real good quality stuff, just wanted to ask for the 0-60 cuz i cant hear it properly, btw i have a 2013 charger that ive been looking foward to put this in her, looks about the same
I'm really interested in adding forced induction to my 2012 Dodge Charger se, I've see your video on the charger and was wondering when the product was going to come on the market, and what the price is likely to look like?
Would imagine by now 9/23/17 the challenger Ripp supercharger would be available for sale but apparently it's not the case/ have emailed several times with no response
The systems are sold in increments. We do not want to oversell which will result in heavy backorders. Email Sales@rippmods.com with your info and we'd be happy to put together a quote.
phillip agepogu compared to the 5.7 it would be about the same if not just a little quicker, but still wouldn't be competitive against the 6.4. Having said that, the V6 and 5.7 have better rods and pistons than the 6.4, so they can handle more boost. The other thing you'd have to consider is beefing up your braking system, the V6 and 5.7 weren't designed to stop on a dime like the SRT's are.
This is absolutely amazing !!! I'm a airforce airmen and I'm stationed in the UK and I NEED ! Not want but need this kit for my car !!! When will this be available !??? I got some bmws and Audi's in London I need a rematch with !!!! Is there anyway to get a price for this also???
So, last time I checked, Vortech voids the warranty on their centrifugal superchargers if started with unit temperatures below 40 degrees F. I have been assured that this in no way a problem from your twin-screw competition. Do you provide a warranty to protect those of us who will inevitably have to cold start our vehicles in cold temperatures?
Arthur Taylor 40* we've sold over 6000 kits to guys with 2007 to 2016 Jeep Wranglers. We can assure you they are used way below 40 and likely below 25* as many of our clients are in Colorado. No reported cols weather issues we can report to us or we've seen specifically. Additionally RIPP is located in NYC and it frequently is below the 25* threshold and again no reported issues to report of. We would warranty to unit just like every other and Vortech has been extremely responsive to RIPP as we are one of there biggest client's.
when these systems do become available for purchase, will it be through certain or selected shops? I've been watching your videos and you hooked me with the charger. I have a 2015 SE that I would totally get this for. But as I've already read through the comments you say it isn't available just yet. Do you guys have any representatives out in the SF bay area?
A shop that is reputable and well versed in forced induction should be able to get through this install with ease. We recommend finding a shop local to you that you are 100% confident in taking on the installation.
Hey this supercharger is 3 years old from the date of this video... I’m looking into going this route but I’ve seen some of your big sponsors experiencing issues with their build recently. Not saying it’s your product but is it possible an upgraded version could be in the works?
There are limitations, mathematically, to how car components work and how much power can be made. If you push beyond those limits without the proper steps taken beforehand you will cause problems on your own. An upgraded version is not needed and is not in the works.
Hello @Msboy1988 Thank you for commenting. Of course there is something that we can do. We are just wondering, what is the horsepower that you are looking for, so we can accurately help you in your goal to reach that number.
Your showing 440 Rear wheel HP on your Dyno....Is that a Dynojet or a. Mustang Dyno ? Because a Mustang Dyno will read about 12% less than a Dynojet on average. If its a Dynojet and it looks like you havE an automatic transmission so you add about 20% to get motor (crank HP).....which makes about 528 HP to motor....Is this correct because we are looking into purchasing........
That's not a question we can answer, nor do we want to find out. Not many engines can make 200 more WHP and then add an additional 100 shot of nitrous in stock form.
Don Mac there are mainly two types of forced induction. A supercharger and a turbocharger. A supercharger is driven by a belt on the front of the engine and uses engine power to force air into the engine. A turbocharger uses exhaust gases to spin a turbine and pressurize air into the engine using a compressor wheel on the opposite side of the turbine wheel. Turbochargers are more efficient because they use otherwise wasted exhaust gases. A turbo can have some lag until full power is engaged but a supercharger if fairly instantaneous.
hi there I'm Mike from California I am planning to get a Dodge Challenger very soon. if I don't get the V8 I'll definitely get a V6 Challenger. my question is for the V-6 Challenger supercharger will it work better with the five-speed transmission or 8 speed transmission. I want to get either a 2012 Challenger or 2016 or newer. Also would you prefer that I have the supercharger installed at your shop or can anybody install it. Thanks.
Bitemyshinny Metalass Works equally as good on either transmission. Drive both and see which you prefer. Our kits can be installed by any good speed shop or reputable mechanic.
@RIPPMODS Hello! I hear a strange sound in the video during the 6:11-6:16 segment. Doesn't sound like a bypass, more like a surge. Is this some kind of malfunction in the test car or is it supposed to be like this?
Hello @В.Рыбкин, Not at all. That was just due to a glitch in the microphone mixed with a unstable road to create that sound. Nothing abnormal with the kit or the vehicle itself. If you have any additional questions, or need more clarification, please email RIPPmods@RIPPmods.com, we will gladly help you there.
@@RIPPMODS Also this pulsing or pumping sound during 4:07-4:14 segment. It appears when the pressure is released. I want to know whether this is a normal pressure release sound or not.
@@В.Рыбкин That is a normal pressure release sound at the time. Since then we have updated our blowoff valve to have a smoother sound and a cleaner release. If you have any additional questions, please email RIPPmods@RIPPmods.com, we will gladly help you there.
I have a K&N intake system and 40 edition loud flowmasters on my dodge challenge 2014 would I have to change any of that if I put your supercharger in my car?
What kind of gas mileage around town does RIPP supercharged AWD v6 challenger get if you keep your foot out of it? I live in Michigan and my driveway is uphill so AWD is an absolute MUST but I want to get a sportier car that's more fun to drive in nice weather. A SRT or hellcat would be awesome but I MUST have AWD sho they are out of the question
Awesome. I'm interested, what kind of reliability is this kit for the 3.6 charger. If so please let us know what type of warranty you have for us. Also how can it handle this power bone stock?
Well, as we've expressed, RIPP was the first company in the world to successfully supercharge a 3.6 Pentastar in the 2012 Wrangler JK. To this day we've sold over 6000 kits for the JK program and you just don't sell that many kits unless you have a solid reliable kit. We expect the Mopar V6 cars to be equally as reliable. We do not offer end use warranty on their engines or drive train, however we do fully cover our components which are all of higher quality. It's important to know that we are not pushing limits with this system and the Pentastar has proven to be a very strong engine.
Well, I imagine that the drivelines between Jeeps and base Challengers are quite different. If I recall correctly, the power figures you're putting down are close to the torque ratings of the base NAG1 transmissions. Can you be sure that our transmissions, driveshafts and differentials will be safe with this much power?
Arthur Taylor the Nag is used in the Jeep as well and there is a 33% drive train loss, in fact the power is closer than you are lead to beleive. Power numbers on 37in tall tires are very different than small 255/40/17. The rotational mass is huge. If your concerned you could run our system at lower power levels, we are putting out what we have proven to be safe.
John Casillas both transmissions have proven themselves reliable. The 5spd is super strong, we've sold 7000 kits sold with our Jeep Wrangler program. The 8spd has proven itself strong sine 2014 about 2000 kits in the 3.6 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Durango V6s.
I just recently bought a 2017 dodge challenger sxt. I'm wanting to supercharge it, add a cold air intake, and upgrade the muffler system. What would be your advice on this? What would you recommend?
Hello, if you purchase the RIPP Supercharger you will not need the cold air kit. As for exhausts, it's really up the individual, some are loud and noisy, others are quiet. We have not tested any to endorse one over the other.
Y'all do such a good job which is why it's so easy to put 100% trust behind the RIPP brand.
You guys have my interest! I appreciate how you take the time to dive into these details on the daily drive, not everyone does that to give the buyer confidence.

It's a Dynodynamic, we do before and after runs on all these cars. We've proven a solid 18% drivetrain loss. 520 crank is the number we target.
Do the oem pistons allow a 100 nitrous shoot ? I think that could be nice combination Supercharger and Nitrous.
That's not a question we can answer, nor do we want to find out. Not many engines can make 200 more WHP and then add an additional 100 shot of nitrous in stock form.
can you install this kit yourself
Turbo charge, twin turbo, supercharger can somebody explain the difference and which they would get for a v6 challenger please?
Will This Void The Manufactures Warranty???
No Reply! Guess that gives you an answer.
Yup.
Nothing can void your warranty unless they can prove it caused a failure.
Sean Huckabee Hannity your username makes me not believe you...
Yes, it does. If the engine goes and they prove this caused it of course it does.
@RIPPMODS Hello!
I hear a strange sound in the video during the 6:11-6:16 segment. Doesn't sound like a bypass, more like a surge. Is this some kind of malfunction in the test car or is it supposed to be like this?
Hello @В.Рыбкин,
Not at all.
@@RIPPMODS i've send an email to you, thanks
I'm nick nicos friend from school
I have a K&N intake system and 40 edition loud flowmasters on my dodge challenge 2014 would I have to change any of that if I put your supercharger in my car?
The K/N would go the exhaust would stay.
Can this bolt to an avenger or do you have a kit for and avenger?
What kind of gas mileage around town does RIPP supercharged AWD v6 challenger get if you keep your foot out of it?
I live in Michigan and my driveway is uphill so AWD is an absolute MUST but I want to get a sportier car that's more fun to drive in nice weather. A SRT or hellcat would be awesome but I MUST have AWD sho they are out of the question
There are independent reports of 2 to 4mpg gain. Some have gotten more some less. Our Jeep Wranglers boat as much as 8 when being kind to it.
Would the RIPP supercharger be effected in a good way or bad way if one would use a diablo tune?
All RIPP V6 car kit come with HP Tuners Tune included.
How is the transmission doing ? I would think the transmission wouldn’t be able to handle all the power
I must find the cash for this
The need is real !!!
Does the car have a muffler delete/exhaust set up? Just wondering how loud the supercharger is in relation to this particular car itself
This vehicle has a stock exhaust. You can definitely hear it during WOT over most exhaust systems.
Make a SC for my wife's 2014 Chrysler town and country
I just recently bought a 2017 dodge challenger sxt. I'm wanting to supercharge it, add a cold air intake, and upgrade the muffler system. What would be your advice on this? What would you recommend?
Hello, if you purchase the RIPP Supercharger you will not need the cold air kit. As for exhausts, it's really up the individual, some are loud and noisy, others are quiet. We have not tested any to endorse one over the other.
