56:58 To undercut on the TP it's a little bit easier than clicking on the tiny down button: Just hover over the number field and scroll down one tick with the mouse wheel.
But beware: Becoming too effective could make the game become feeling like a chore. If you always do all the daily stuff and try to maximize everything, you'll miss out on other stuff that's actually fun but not as profitable.
That is probably the opposite of what TP intended for this series. Yes, there is a lot to be learned about the game, but a lot of that learning is either a pretty low hurdle (eg dungeons) or very widely applicable (eg swapping utility skills for mechanics). You don’t have to learn all of it to be “effective”, the amount depends on what you consider “effective” to mean. Most of the content in the game can be accessed with minimal preparation and will not take long to learn if you actually put in some effort; only some endgame instances and challenge modes will actually take some time to learn.
"Easy to learn but hard to master." The other gamers here are correct, though. Optimising is great but only if you are still having fun playing the game.
One thing that I liked to do for making gold from dungeon currencies is get exotics with stats that can give insignias after salvaging, i/e soldiers, shamans, etc.
23:45 - reminds me of one thief I had in group that had 23 AR in T3 fractals and survived more than other people. IDK if he had some special build where he was incredibly tanky, or just true gamer that dodged everything.
You can also work like 1-2 hrs IRL and buy 700 gold. Games that are only about grinding are not more fun than work is. GW2 definitely feels that way with its gold based and IRL cash inflated reward structure.
Its not gold based AT ALL , you don't need gold in order to play the game , the gear is the same as everyone since 1900 a.c. , you can do raids, fractals, meta events and even PVP with 0 gold in your inventory . Weirdge. Golds are for Legendaries that you dont want to grind and infusion that you dont want to grind , that's it
Honestly, I normally don't watch your long videos on here because I can't keep my attention. But the challenge of trying to earn all that gold by doing as much content as you can early on made it a lot more interesting for me! Good video 😊
This and the second season got me back playing, you are a real gamer, also because I saw a character named MicroTransactionEnjoyer that played quickness deadeye.
I just started playing GW 2 the other day and have like 30h playtime and bought the path of fire and heart of thorns dlc (havent started them yet tho) and I have no freakin idea what any of the stuff he is doing in the video is. I jut saw a few cool mount skins and wanted to know a fast way to get gems xD guess Im gonna have to play for a few hundred hours untill I can start the grind lol
hey teapot, im realy wondering. can you buy any of the expansions or the core game purely by ingame currency? what im realy getting at is, can i play a fully free account to the end of dragons endgame? was thinking of doing the same as u did but cant see the expansions on the gemstore. seeing ur videos it moastly seems like the only "expansion like" stuff you can buy is the living world seasons, is that right?
The expansions are the only real-world-currency *required* purchases. Everything else from living world episodes to account upgrades to QoL can be bought with gold, but sadly the expacs themselves cannot.
what up man. quick question on the wintersday events going on right now. last year when the lunar new years events were happening, you could enter & complete mount races, finishing in any position and you are rewarded just for partaking. the lunar ny mount races never took any coins from me, but this wintersday event i've noticed every time i join a race i will lose 1 gold, then all i receive at the finish is like 6 snowflakes; even the first finisher only gets a snowflake wrapped present, but with an extra karma boost added which in my eyes is an absolutely pathetic reward for something that costs 1 gold each entry. i could be wrong though, as the race host doesn't mention a charge to enter and my gold goes down by 1 for ANY wintersday event i join. i have lost around 15 gold unknowingly, then when i started noticing it going down, i started making checks of what is in my account before joining, then what is there after partaking & i can confirm it is the events doing it. is there a way i can earn double from what i am spending? my plan was to earn enough snowflakes to buy a snow diamond, then resell on the black lion trader for 7g50s (7g50s for 1 snow diamond) but you need 1000 snowflakes for just 1 snow diamond, and snowflakes come at a very shy rate compared to gold spent entering events. if you have a work around for this i'd highly appreciate it as i love the event games but i honestly don't see the benefits from spending gold just to enter them.
@MightyTeapot says in one of his Z2H videos "You ooze, you lose." He specifically was avoiding the Ooze Pits meta event. I couldn't find in the comments why he said this. Was it a joke? Or are the Ooze Pits not worth the time vs. reward? Legit want to know.
Question: I saw him clicking the Deposit Material Button in his inventory. Is he selling this stuff later from the bank? Or is he just selling the things in his inventory? I guess he is spending some time just clicking between TP and his bags.
I'm still confused why can you open big chests at the end of a strike but cannot open the medium one. Is it bugged? Wiki says that both open with 2nd mastery level
I tried watching this as a new player to see how to make gold as I level, but there is absolutely no explanation of what you're doing or of your plan - just random chatting. Disappointing. I'm apparently not the intended audience. 😐

TY!
The real mvp is always in the comments
Thank you can't wait to screw over my fellow noobs
great tip! the small cursor has been annoying
Watching this content makes me feel like there is an almost insurmountable amount of stuff I have to learn about this game to be effective.
But beware: Becoming too effective could make the game become feeling like a chore. If you always do all the daily stuff and try to maximize everything, you'll miss out on other stuff that's actually fun but not as profitable.
If u take it one system at a time it's actually fun

First thing I'll need is a better PC LMAO
This timed gold grind is my favorite story arc for zero to hero yet.

I don't think any build would let you survive the agony at that tier with only 23 AR, so he had to have dodged at least all of that.
What a madlad
probably a fractal with no agony, otherwise he would have literally been oneshot. you cannot tank or dodge agony.

This is like when Hrimthur built the walls of Asgard and said that if he couldn't do it in 3 years he wouldnt get paid

really enjoying this series despite being a bittervet myself. keep em coming!!
don't forget to get in automated pvp tournament every 3 hours for free 10-15 liquid gold + coins (pvp is almost
dead so literally free gold)
This and the second season got me back playing, you are a real gamer, also because I saw a character named MicroTransactionEnjoyer that played quickness deadeye.
This man has a Dedication of ULTRA PRO MAX level towards GW2
We need a Teapot T-Shirt with "Lets Blast!"
you have an army of course you can
Man tea pot. No joke. I love your honesty.

Sooo funny when you dissed Mama and she crushed you :) you're a true Chad yourself btw o7
Just came to say, I did this challenge. Quite simple easy process but takes long duration
hey @MightyTeapot what fot do you use for your ARC? I really enjoy it.
"No real money required" then it instantly goes to day 0 with a lv 80 character :P
@MightyTeapot says in one of his Z2H videos "You ooze, you lose." He specifically was avoiding the Ooze Pits meta event. I couldn't find in the comments why he said this.

Here we go!
watching this I learned one thing, I am not doing dungeons.
yes, you can

There isn't anything in GW2 that's difficult. It's only as difficult as you make it to be.
They replaced an old path in twilight arbor for aetherpath so new but also took out old content
good luck
10:53 - 11:33 is gold! yea thats embarrassing
what map/bgm is that st 13:45? I must have it
But u didn't even start at level 1
where is part 2 ? :(
wait...why was he so excited about auto loot? isnt that just a setting thing?
Two different versions of autoloot. To never have to press 'F' you need the mastery he farms.
Additional fun fact: the key bind for ae-loot has a bigger radius than loot on interact. Autoloot via mastery also has the bigger radius
I’m out of the loop this is just a challenge right? Teapot didn’t lose his old account?
nah that's a joke haha
How can I get on the metatrain too ? Must I be part of the Hardstuck guild ?
Just check gw2 timer to Find which meta is happening and the join squad thru lfg.
WICKED Gaming
oh
Just go fishing, you can make 700g in 2-3 days
1:49 that didn't age well! lol
Honestly, I learned a lot from you @MightyTeapot 😘😀👍
Just go fishing for 6h/day and you are done :D
How to quit the game speedrun
Just get an infusion drop, ez clap :^)
Its achievable 20g per hour only if you dont have a life.
I tried watching this as a new player to see how to make gold as I level, but there is absolutely no explanation of what you're doing or of your plan - just random chatting. Disappointing. I'm apparently not the intended audience. 😐
Constantly advertises 30-40g/hr farming - says 100g/day is hard to farm. Hmmmm something isnt adding up 😉
Yo
