The first shots are coming and I see a narrow street, a wall and strange graphies. It frightened me 😁 what hell is the capital 😆 But then I got the peaceful video with nice places! Thank you for the interesting video
De Blokhuispoort, the one you called a "castle", is actually a centuries old former prison. And I can asure you, it is not an office-building... It is more like a cultural hub, with the cities library in it, and a pub, a restaurant and even a hostel. It also has a lot of small companies in arts and design and stuff inside and some galleries and boutiques. And a few years back, there was also a poppodium over there, and even festivals were held there.
Thank you for the good trip to Friesland province. My favorite places in Lewarden are the picturesque canals , the sculpture Love 💕 and nice houses. Bravo Netherlands! You save your history 👏🏻, environment and simply love people.
I’ve never been here. It’s the beautiful city. It’s clean with traditional Dutch architecture, but some white buildings make Leewarden so special 👏🏻 thank you
Good evening! Thank you very much, really liked this video, I have heard much of Friesland but I have just found out about the city of Leeuwarden. Are there any interesting works or paintings in Frisian Museum which are famous all over the world? Why do some people have prejudice about this region? Do you find it strange that in the age of anti-racism policy and tolerance there is so much hate between people in the USA, the UK, Ukraine, Germany and other multi-cultural countries?
As for the hate and prejudice, I think only now people are trying to fight with them instead of tolerating and taking for granted. As they excited in the society for decades of not centuries it will be hard to overcome at once. But I believe we are moving in the right direction and there is hope that we can build a better society with actually considering stereotypes and dogmas to be serious. I don’t see no harm in using them in comedy, but there should be no place for it in day-to-day life.
Thank you! I haven’t known much about this interesting city. My knowledge was that Escher , Mata Hari and Rembrandt’s wife were born in Leewarden. Also, there’s an unusual northern province, where people say with their unique accent. Thank you for the video, I could see the place and like it ❤️🙏👏🏻
It’s a new beautiful place for me. Thank you 😊
That sounds intriguing. I’m looking forward to the new video 👏🏻
Thank you for the next trip to Dutch lands. I liked it 👍

Haha, I put it in the beginning as it was the most peculiar street of Leeuwarden. Glad you liked the review!
I envy the people who live here 😭 it looks like Paradise because of peace and calm 👌thanks
So do I. 🤣🤣🤣
I forgot about the tower like Pisa 👍😄
Thank you ! The white house with green windows remind me North Britain
There is some resemblance.
It’s like fairy country 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks for you comment! I didn't have much time to explore it properly, so I'm glad to learn more about that place!

I personally don’t know much about Frisian art, so apologies for my ignorance. I bet there something worthy even if it’s not famous.

Blokhuispoort was first a old prison building 😁
