I’d almost agree, but I still (seldom) hear them on the radio, and countless people have covered bloodletting, they have a huge cult following, now Masters of Reality is a more underrated band, check the album Sunrise on the Sufferbus, (Ginger Baker on drums) CB has been one of my fav bands since late 80s/early 90s
"Deja vu feeling..." got the chills from the opening line - what a voice, what a band, what a total package....Johnette one of the greatest rockers of all time!
Its basicly just the chorus of BLOODLETTING remade into a seperate song but its different enough that people dont notice I guess that is another credit to their genius
Ah Johnette..........pure talent, emotion and passion your entire life and you have to watch all the untalented pukes rise to the top of the heap. Don't worry......I love you.
fallen harris I know that you posted your comment 9 years ago, but I just saw it now. I LOVE the “pain of joy” comment! Very poetic. There’s joy in pain, and pain in joy. Thanks for the reminder.🙂
So glad to see several others who have the same feeling as I do about this group. I fell in love with them when God is a bullet came out back in 88 then had to get the debut and every al um since. I recall when I got group therapy there was something that did not thrill me about that one, I think I had since pawned it tho wish I had not and I would like to get the last album they released Mohave, I have two songs downloaded and like both especially snakes, a very trippy sounding song I could see someone going out into the desert on peyote hearing that in their head haha.
Concrete Blonde has been an all time favorite band of mine. Jonette"s voice is disdinctive and alluring..espellially during the seductive moments.: )))
great song one of the best and my most favorite of concrete blonde. Her voice screams sex appeal. glad you can still find this song online. cant find it in stores
I used to run FOH sound for various bands and was with a rock outfit that opened up for a band that was traveling around supporting their first promoted album. They came in did their sound check and played some rather slow sounding tunes we thought they sounded a lot different than us....after they started their set the shyte hit the fan and I was beat down by the end...they weren't Still in Hollywood, they were on the loose. They closed the set with an encore of The Animals jam "It's my life and i'll do what i want" that should have been recorded for the Smithsonian
Never seen this, and I have been a fan since "God is a bullet". 120 minutes did play CB quite a lot for a minute back in the late 80's into the very early 90s
I remember this amazing song live from the Walking In London album tour in '92, and I'm glad someone posted this video, but damn - the original song is 6:46, and this version is only 4:00. That's not edited; that's eviscerated.
My fave song is probably 'Caroline' or the cover of 'everybody knows'. Her vocals in this song are great. Ragged, like she's just ran a marathon and cried herself to sleep and sang at the same time.
This song has always reminded me of Daniel and Armand from The VC. Specifically, the part of the book where Daniel is traveling all over the world trying unsuccessfully to escape Armand. I think of it as Daniel's theme song.
The start of her seductive look was in this period..helped make CB acceptable to the masses. We die-hards knew that right from the start.. the Dream 6 days.
oops, pardon my spelling, I may be a tad drunk, haha. But seriously, I'm a huge rock and metal fan, but I can appreciate good music when I hear it. Keep trying to explain to my nephews and neices that sounds generated on a computer are just that..sounds! Music requires a knowledge of so much more than a keyboard and electronic trickery!!
He lives in London and I live in the desert of California. But can relate ( not necessarily happily ) to everything this song says... been there, free of the spell.
I wonder why they cut the best part of the chorus in this video. And I've been running all this time And I'm running out of places to go And I am oh so so sick and tired of every face that I know Everything I do, everything I say.... THAT BASS LINE THOUGH!
I used to wish that Type O Negative would cover this song. Hell, can you imagine a Johnette and Peter Steele duet? Would be fucking epic. Now it's impossible but I can dream...
Why is this song missing the whole first part of the chorus? It skips the lyrics: "and i've been running all this time and i'm running out of places to go and i am oh so sick and tired of every face that i know" and goes straight to: "everything i do, everything i say everything in my head, every night, every day" Weird. I don't like it. Though that's not a hit on CB... awesome
I think 55 this yr. Janis died @ 27 overdose. Also autopsy revealed half her internal organic were eaten up by an easily cured VD. Coroner said the pain must've been unbearable.
There isn't a more under rated band out there.
For sure
I’d almost agree, but I still (seldom) hear them on the radio, and countless people have covered bloodletting, they have a huge cult following, now Masters of Reality is a more underrated band, check the album Sunrise on the Sufferbus, (Ginger Baker on drums)
CB has been one of my fav bands since late 80s/early 90s
That’s ok. It’s like our own personal little treasure. 😎
Their loss
Totally agree
"Deja vu feeling..." got the chills from the opening line - what a voice, what a band, what a total package....Johnette one of the greatest rockers of all time!
I had the pleasure of seeing this woman and her band at Tipitinas. One of the best concerts I've seen in my life!
One of the best songs ever written
Its basicly just the chorus of BLOODLETTING remade into a seperate song but its different enough that people dont notice
I guess that is another credit to their genius
Brings tears to my eyes! She has a voice that connects right to your soul!
Johnette Napolitano and Mike Patton. My heroes!!!!. I love them.
I didn't know he was involved in this?!
I sooo agree with you!!!
How can anyone not love her voice?...Chills....
I'd forgotten how much I LOVE this woman's voice!
Ah Johnette..........pure talent, emotion and passion your entire life and you have to watch all the untalented pukes rise to the top of the heap. Don't worry......I love you.
Everyone talks about her singing - with good reason - but check out that bass line. So tasty, with each note executed perfectly.
I have walked in London with Johnette and have sang in Sydney....
This woman gives me chills.
Johnette is my hero!♥
Now this is music. We need more bands like this. I wish music like this would come back and bring the pain of joy.
fallen harris I know that you posted your comment 9 years ago, but I just saw it now. I LOVE the “pain of joy” comment! Very poetic. There’s joy in pain, and pain in joy. Thanks for the reminder.🙂
Just wow.. so good. Love her voice.
One of th best songs ever written

Jonette"s voice is disdinctive and alluring..espellially during the seductive moments.: )))

Big CB fan here and I don't think I have ever seen this video! Thanks for posting it!!!
Good call my friend. So many people have no idea about Mike Patton, or Johnette Napolitano. Physco Ballet at it's finest!
Rock n Roll hall of fame!...
ARE YOU LISTENING!?!...
Bah they're a joke. The RRHOF I mean.
@@TheJosep70 100% agree
Yes! She is a badass isnt she! So amazing!
LOVE IT!!!!
She has an awesome voice.
I love how Johnette sounds tired when she sings this. Breath taking....
Weird. I never even knew a video existed for this song until UA-cam recommended it just now.
Its a good video dont watch the ones from Mexican Moon because theyre CRINGE-bad
Gracias 🙂 🙂
Never seen this, and I have been a fan since "God is a bullet". 120 minutes did play CB quite a lot for a minute back in the late 80's into the very early 90s
oh hell yeah...
Can’t tell you how much money I’ve spent on lap dances with this song playing. It was a titty bar staple in the 90s.
She is special.
this song is amazing and johnette is hot as eff!
Um still listening to this song

PURE BRILLIANCE. yes

The bass line in this is so hot...
Eyes painted on the eyelids makes me think of Dave Gahan in Depeche Mode video "Barrel of a gun"!
Perfection!
Miss their work. 2024
best songwriter/singer male or female
MTV sucked for not playing Concrete Blonde enough.
excelente banda muy buenaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The start of her seductive look was in this period..helped make CB acceptable to the masses. We die-hards knew that right from the start.. the Dream 6 days.

EXCELLENT!!!
"or I'm a human wire"
Powerful lyrics.
❤️❤️❤️Johnette❤️❤️❤️
Sofa King great!!
making my ears bleed since 89...fuckin love it
He lives in London and I live in the desert of California. But can relate ( not necessarily happily ) to everything this song says... been there, free of the spell.

THAT BASS LINE THOUGH!
I remember when this first came out the radio dj said it was about vampires...came out around the time of the making of interview with the vampire
That actually would have been their song Bloodletting (The Vampire Song).
@@gauchesymbiote1039 Oh thank you
Shame there’s no live versions of this anyway
Finally found the video to this!!!!
When your favorite band goes off the deep end, but you still try to be loyal. This is that album.
For Louis and Lestat
Why isn't this band fucking famous?
+bixtch it was
+Eskay1206 - no, not really...but they were very good for sure
In the 80's everyone had Bloodletting, but you are right wasnt mainstream, only get "Caroline< Joey on the radio, back then
Thats in Australia
It's better to be lucky than good.
Fire
dude johnette llooks so hot here
Still listening in 2018!
Hey, all we both need is love or more of one of life's pleasures.
🤘🏻❤
Goddess Johnnette.
I used to wish that Type O Negative would cover this song. Hell, can you imagine a Johnette and Peter Steele duet? Would be fucking epic. Now it's impossible but I can dream...
That Would've Been F*cking Awesome
Kick ass
@solwolfpunk agree agree agree
what a great song by a great fucking band fronted by the GREAT Johnette Napalatano
Why is this song missing the whole first part of the chorus?
It skips the lyrics:
"and i've been running all this time
and i'm running out of places to go
and i am oh so sick and tired of every face that i know"
and goes straight to:
"everything i do, everything i say
everything in my head, every night, every day"
Weird. I don't like it.
Though that's not a hit on CB... awesome
johnette took janis lyrics and wrote a great song,Come away with me on her pretty and twisted other band album. that album is good
@soren1435 She and Janis have nothing in common except that both were great. At least Johnnette ain't dead.
I love all Johnette's looks. Such a sexy chameleon
I think 55 this yr. Janis died @ 27 overdose. Also autopsy revealed half her internal organic were eaten up by an easily cured VD. Coroner said the pain must've been unbearable.
💕 i Use To Have The Biggest
Female Crush on Her 😘
She Always made My

His guitar at 3:00 looks like he playing a lefty up side down...guessing I wrong though...
