The wedding dresses in the stores are samples. Sometimes they sell the samples. But they order your dress in your size and you get that altered most of the time.

as a chilean it’s so crazy to see americans (and people in general) going crazy over a 4.8 earthquake😅 like, in chile we’ve had the biggest ever (9.5) and i’ve lived multiple over 8, and we basically have 4.8 at least once a week and nobody even moves! we even have a different word, to us we have a “temblor” which translates to a “shake” which is basically anything lower than 7 and we don’t even move, and then over 7 we would call it a “terremoto” / “earthquake” buuut we don’t have any other crazy things you guys have like tornados or hurricanes! to me those would be sooo scary anyway, the world is crazyy
re: the wedding dresses. after you choose a dress, you get measured and they order one in your size. then you do alterations on them as you need! but this is why you need to get your dress literally a year before your wedding haha
for wedding dress shopping, you usually are trying on a sample! So, in most cases, that would not be the dress you would be buying. Since you also watched say yes to the dress, you maybe remember their sample sale days! they would sell the floor sample dresses for super discounted. FYI i have never even tried on wedding dresses lol
when I went wedding dress shopping, they had a bunch of dresses in bigger sizes (I’m a zero) and I had to try those on because that’s what they had for people to try on, and they clamped it a bunch. Then they ordered me one from their warehouse to have shipped to me :)
