This is definitely one of the most technically difficult songs to sing because of the wide range, not just of notes but also the emotional range. There is so much going on in this song and the way this song is written doesn't leave a lot of time or room to transition from one emotion and musical phrase to the next. It's all one right after the other. No time to breathe, no time to adjust your vocal cords. It's one thing right after another, which is musically symbolic of the emotional turmoil Luisa is expressing.
And yet, Claire managed to 1) remember the words, 2) emphasize the emotional aspect of the song, and 3) reach the wide range of notes. In spite of the challenges this song presents, she did well. And vocal dynamics are among the hardest parts of music. Especially crescendos and decrescendos. And she's still a little girl. If she's this talented at this age, I can't wait to see how her musical talents grow.
If she’s this good now, imagine what she’ll sound like after puberty!! She really could be known around the world.

I never doubted Claire’s vocal capabilities since I started watching her from a mere three year old. She can go low which I think is the hardest to a high pitch. She could easily always memorize all those words too. Amazing girl with an equally amazing vocal talent .

part of it is also like a composer, she's looking for visual cues to read the tempo. at least, that's how it works with any band i ever played in during practice. of course you get it down then you don't need to do that and can sing/play with full confidence but she's young.

I was watching this video and thinking "when I was Claire's age, I was battling leukemia" thankfully, I pulled through. I'm also someone with perfect pitch who loves to sing. I'm sorry to hear about your sister. Sometimes I feel sad that I survived when so many people don't make it, especially other kids like me 😥
Wow, I usually don’t dig child performers(even if they’re prodigies)but I’ve got to admit this nine year old really knows how to deliver a song.

Great voice; however, as she gets older, please have her work on relieving neck tension. As she concurrently sings higher notes and gets louder, she tends to tilt her head and/or raises her neck. It'd be great if her vocal stamina builds as she grows older, rather than deteriorates as she does.

And it hit me in a different way than the original, because as an eldest kid in a divorce I got to carry alot of the responsibility for my younger siblings, so this song always hit me hard, but hearing it in the voice of a child, like the child I was when this all went down, hit very differently, and I am thankful for it. I’ve been following Claire since the beginning she is an extremly talented kid. Very beautiful voice.
This was crazy amazing. For a girl her age to have that much range, and to able ti handle so many words is insane. Not to mention this is a hard song to begin with. And what I find particularly impressive is how she manages to sing with such emotion when I’d imagine it’s hard for her to relate to this song. She’s amazing through and through. The only thing I maybe noticed her struggle with was breath control at the end.
All I can say is… oh my goodness. This just shocked me. I am 11 and I could NEVER sing that confident! I only sing to myself. Claire, if you see this, you inspire me so much, and I just discovered you. I hope you have a blessed day or night. -Lydia💝
