I played this game with a pretty decent surround-sound system and Jesus Christ when this guy woke up the bass rumble made it feel like my floor was going to collapse :D
EXCELLENT QUALITY! God i love this game. The first time i played i didnt know a thing about it and loved every bit on it!! If onlythe PS2 version ran as smooth and as crisp as this *O.O*
0:47 Absolute FAVORITE sounds and colossus awakening :D! Gaius is all like: "Damn, all these damn kids interupting my cloud-watching >:C GAIUS SMASH!!!"
omfg this is so awesome.... bring this updated version to sony and make them release it on psn, MAKE them.... i always wanted a hd version re-make of sotc, and you just did it like that.... i want to play it aswell =[....... kind of like i also love the god of war collection
Dude, your comment made me laugh so freakin' much. I just imagined all the colossi surrounding the girl and hitting her in the head and walking away all epicly.
Sooooo did you put that last jump in the climb in this video just to brag? It took me about 50 tries to make that damn jump. XD I'm loving these SoTC vids, though. One of my favorite games ever, and the quality of your posts is amazing. Thank you for uploading!
@mahogi The sound is choppy because you arent reaching full speed. The latest revisions compiled on Emucr might improve things a little, but most likely your cpu isnt isnt fast enough.
@jespero93 The blur is on, but it is less visible simply because of the higher framerate. The thicker the frames are, the less difference between them to be interpolated = less blur visible... But there really is blur.
@heavengalvez The previously common offset errors are corrected too, by the HIDDEN offset hack option. The only slight bug left is the bloom being too strong, if the offset hack is enabled.
i was a bit skeptical to how it would run on the pc and how the framerate would turn out. this looks amazing! even though is the blur still on even if the framerate is this high ? cause i loved the blur effects in the game.
@xeneres16 No. The three "snakes" are the largest: 3. Dirge (earth) 2. Hydrus (water) 1. Phalanx (wind). Is the double that any. Gaius is the second largest humanoid, from behind Malus, very very behind XD. For example, Phaedra, the horse, is similar for Gaius in height.
@INNUENDO88 Is the emulator have more graphic options which makes this game more beautiful? Or its just the same as we can get on original PS2 console?
@INNUENDO88 i still have hope lol, soon E3 and something about the last guardian, maybe they'll also announce the hd version of sotc as a psn download? or just like gow collection that it will be in stores soon... who knows maybe it's even an extra if you buy the last guardian?
In a nutshell: 1. Get a PC with a CPU running at at least 3ghz (preferably 4+ ghz), and a strong graphics card too, plus an analog gamepad. 2. Make an iso of your game disc. That's what you'll use, not the acutal disc. 3. Download pcsx2's latest unsupported revision from emucr. 4. While in NATIVE resolution mode in gsdx, fiddle around with the EE and VU speedhacks to find the balanced settings for your CPU (higher EE & VU hack levels = lower framerates --> better performance).
@koover Right now I have a gtx460 too, although I recorded this with a 285 wich performed better with pcsx2. But the gtx 460 runs it fine too, especially with a little overclocking. The game is very cpu dependant too though. Over 3ghz is needed for an adequate performance, 4gh is kinda optimal (still could be better...). The framerate is controller by the EE and VU speedhacks by the way. The less you use the better the framerate. Don't let that """""fps""""" counter in the title bar fool you.
Yea, I never would have beleived a year ago or so that I will ever witness SOTC in hi-res either... But when I saw how vigorously was ps2 emulation developing, I decided to buy a strong pc instead of a ps2 compatible ps3 (or any ps3 at all...) What te makers of GOW did deserves very much respect indeed. Too bad that Team Ico didn't do the same with The Last Guardian : \
how do you super jump to the ledge at the beginning? when i try to jump from the ramp i can JUST BARELY make it HALF the distance that you jump and thats WITH a running start and jumping right from the edge
Hey dude I know you've been probably been asked this a thousand times already but what are the specs on the computer this Pcsx2 is running on cuz this looks friggen awesome!!
God dammit he's got a small amount of health left, but he REFUSES to do the attack that lets me climb him. I've been running around like an idiot for the past 30 minutes trying to get him to do it again.
@MrCaioable This is not 60 fps. It's 30. The fps number that the GS window's title bar shows is not informative on how much fps the game really renders at. It only informs you about the emulation SPEED. 60 fps = 100% speed but that doesnt mean that game is really rendered at 60 fps...
@werewolfyman Well, it might run fine with the multi-core speedhack enabled. But judging by how my gtx 460 performed worse than my gtx 285, I think the gtx 550 will only be enough for 2x resoltuion, cuase it's memory bandwith is lower than the gtx 460's (wich is lower than the 285's)
Curious: Why does Gaius have two different models? /watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vnNuDwJ_ils In this link, Gaius has a complete first ring on his gauntlet on the sword arm. In this video, it is fractured and broken. Can someone explain why this has occurred? I am trying to make a LEGO version of him, but I don't know which one to use.
@Lawllerzzz RAM is irrelevant. I have a 2.9 ghz AMD X2 245 overclocked to 3.5 ghz and it plays at 60fps (albeit choppier and lower resolution than this video). My GPU is a 9800GT however. You may have to play the game at a much lower resolution but it might be possible to make it playable with severe overclocking of your CPU. I doubt it however.
im not usually pro-remasters, but i would buy this game again for the PS4
This game in todays graphics and engines, etc. Would be amazing.
Rafael Bernal your wish was granted lol
This game convinced me that one day, video games will be as respected a medium as music or film.
The 3rd colossus will always be my favorite
The 3rd and 15th are my fave
I played this game with a pretty decent surround-sound system and Jesus Christ when this guy woke up the bass rumble made it feel like my floor was going to collapse :D
With the last stab perfectly timed with the music, and the way the camera panned around Wander and zoomed in made that so cool to watch
But then you see Wander at 7:05 fall of Gaius's head and bounce off
This colossus has the best death scene of all them
Best quality I've seen in a while it looks so clear
The way you play through these battles is almost like performance. The whistle was a very nice touch.
That music that plays at 3:28 gives me chills every time. It did when I was 14, and it still does six years later.
This game looks great even now.
I like how Gaisus just wakes up and walks directly towards you.
holy shit fuck balls how have I not played this yet?
there goes my to do list...
good luck finding a legitimate working copy for a decent price, especially here in australia.
Thank you for you fast response. I got a new PC like 3 days ago :) So it will run 100% !!! Doing this atm!!! Thank you again!
At the end when he dies I literally burst into tears,I don't know why but it's so heroic.
i dont care what anyone says, this game is still and will be ahead of its time. EPIC
Love how you think it's going to be a spider looking thing, and then he stands up...
EXCELLENT QUALITY! God i love this game. The first time i played i didnt know a thing about it and loved every bit on it!! If onlythe PS2 version ran as smooth and as crisp as this *O.O*
this looks better than even when the ps3 games are in HD. really nice work man
The music in this game is a masterpiece.
By far one of the best games EVER made! It is art!
Beautiful video man, thanks a lot!
The theme at 3:50 is so freaking epic it always sends shivers down my spine
that end had perfect timing. the music go,s duna dun dun duna and then he makes the final blow.
I could watch this shit all day. Breathtaking... just bloody breathtaking.
0:47 Absolute FAVORITE sounds and colossus awakening :D!
Gaius is all like:
"Damn, all these damn kids interupting my cloud-watching >:C GAIUS SMASH!!!"
He looks like Link's long lost brother.
I like the song playing when youre about to enter its lair.
1.15 - one of the greatest moments in gaming IMO.
This is beautiful...
Had this game in ps2 this game is the stuff most fun I had with a game
That gotta be my favourite Colossus (boss) of all time!
That whistle was cheeky :-D
You are a freaking genius. :D
When I first saw it, I thought it would be another "small" colossus, until I saw it stand up. That thing is tall.
When I was younger it took me forever to figure out how to beat him.
This game's soundtrack is simply orgasmic.
This one always gives me trouble...but it's still my favorite Colossus!
omfg this is so awesome.... bring this updated version to sony and make them release it on psn, MAKE them.... i always wanted a hd version re-make of sotc, and you just did it like that.... i want to play it aswell =[.......
kind of like i also love the god of war collection
Dude, your comment made me laugh so freakin' much. I just imagined all the colossi surrounding the girl and hitting her in the head and walking away all epicly.
Thanks : ] ! It makes me happy that some appreciate it.
amazing quality dude
The first boss ever that made me say "Oh shit! How the hell am I taking that thing down?!?"
Sooooo did you put that last jump in the climb in this video just to brag? It took me about 50 tries to make that damn jump. XD

my favorite colossus

This game will look awesome on the Ico/SOTC collection.
Colossus: "Would you like to be my friend?"
Player: "I'm going to shank your ass!" *stab, stab, stab.*
God this game looks so much better in HD
@jespero93 The blur is on, but it is less visible simply because of the higher framerate. The thicker the frames are, the less difference between them to be interpolated = less blur visible... But there really is blur.

Oh god it's so wonderful...
best colossus so far...
This colossus seemed like the 2 biggest one.
@INNUENDO88

I think Gaius's death is the saddest. Really. It just... Oh man.
Poor Gaius. All he wanted to do was sleep undisturbed.
Game of the century.
The music in this game makes you feel like chuck norris.
wow awesome dude sounds great
this one was my favorite. i thought it looked the coolest for some reason
Brave guy to stand against a colossus for a women that doesn't even know him
Jesus fucking christ this looks ten times more enjoyable. 60 fps instead of 15? yes pls.
Imagine if we were too slow to catch bugs to pull them off and what not. That's a horrible thought. Wander is like a lethal tick or something.
@koover Right now I have a gtx460 too, although I recorded this with a 285 wich performed better with pcsx2. But the gtx 460 runs it fine too, especially with a little overclocking. The worst part about this was trying to get the Collosi to swing his sword. Once I got him close, all he'd do is stab it into the ground. -.-
1:10 "WHO DARES DISTURBS MY SLUMBER?!?"
ICO and Shadow of the colossus HD collection announced for PS3!
Yea, I never would have beleived a year ago or so that I will ever witness SOTC in hi-res either... But when I saw how vigorously was ps2 emulation developing, I decided to buy a strong pc instead of a ps2 compatible ps3 (or any ps3 at all...)

We went from this, to Call of Duty... HUMAN RACE WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!!!
This bastart took me about 40 mins. and you did it in 9...... oh the rage that is building up inside me....
I may be alone in this, but I found the most difficult part getting onto the platform that holds the colossus.
Travel to distant temple to revive somebody,
meet interesting and huge monsters,
then kill them.
Hey dude I know you've been probably been asked this a thousand times already but what are the specs on the computer this Pcsx2 is running on cuz this looks friggen awesome!!
Just so you know, I run this at 1440 x 960.
With VU cycle stealing set to 1.
No MTVU.
Smooth as silk.
i5 2300 @ 2.8 ghz
GTS 450.
i like the quality! what are your computer specs?
perfect timing ò_ò
God dammit he's got a small amount of health left, but he REFUSES to do the attack that lets me climb him.
I've been running around like an idiot for the past 30 minutes trying to get him to do it again.
@INNUENDO88 any other advice?
Gtx is 768 mb, btw.

@Lawllerzzz
A gtx 285 slightly overcloked.
2.7 ghz wont perform well. But you should try.
@werewolfyman

@MrWhatTheWorld PS2 and PS3. This is the ps2 version played on PC
If Team Ico and Square Enix made a game together.... I reckon that would be a very epic game.
damn. that is a sick tramp stamp there mr. colossus
4:34
@INNUENDO88 I have good news for yer, I heard they're remaking Ico and SotC in HD for the PS3 next year.
It broke at 3:27 when he struck the slab. If you look before that the ring is complete.
Damn, I forgot how beautiful this game is. Time to take my ps2 out of storage.
Wow, did I really type veins?! LOL.
I was sleeping, but thanks for the reminder tho'.
Curious: Why does Gaius have two different models? /watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vnNuDwJ_ils In this link, Gaius has a complete first ring on his gauntlet on the sword arm. In this video, it is fractured and broken. Can someone explain why this has occurred? I am trying to make a LEGO version of him, but I don't know which one to use.
nvm. It's fractured and broken because he broke it when he slammed his sword down.
me and my lil bro call this one bird man lol
3:27 "shit just got real" music
switched to 1080 cuz you asked nicely :)
@Lawllerzzz
