Your latest Joe Bonamassa guitar lesson has arrived! This time Joe’s rockin’ a Strat, teaching you how to play Drive, which may just be his sexiest song ever. Joe will explain the theory behind this groovy piece of minor blues, and how he gets that cool western cowboy guitar sound. He’ll also have you throw some Robert Cray style action into your solo. So come on, let’s jam with Joe. It’s at least as fun as going for a drive, and you don’t have to spend a dime on gas.

Joe's generosity gives me hope and makes me a more compassionate musician.
Best maestro for future blues jazz rock n rollers
Joe this is why we love you so much... not just because you are the best guitarist alive but also because you are are a nice fellow as well.
These jam tracks are such a cool gesture from JB. Very much appreciated.
indeed. thanks alot!
Wow! An artist teaching his own song. Not surprised....it's JB! THANK YOU!
Keep telling us.... Explore the sounds of the guitar. Thanks, Joe.
What a cool song!
This one of my favorite songs on this album. Thank you Joe Bonamassa for both the music and the lesson.
Just discovered this artist. He knows his stuff. He loves it. And he wants to show others. Wow. That's how you bring on future musicians.
absolument fan ..JOE the BEST
Hey JB Fans,
There was an issue with the download file. We're going to get that back up and available for you all shortly.
It's still an issue - a year on! The talking introduction plays ok but there's horrendous digital glitching when the backing track part starts; which is the part I wanted!
speaking on behalf of all guitarists, very generous of you to share this, thanks!
Respect, Joe.
That man! Awesome
Wow, you play fantastic!
Bonamasa is master !!
I've been playing for forty years, played 100s of gigs, gotten standing ovations in bars I've played in and if you heard me play you'd say yeah he's a good guitarist.but every time I watch Joe play I realize how much of a hack I am. He's so good!!!! Speechless
This is addictive !!!
Thanks for showing us this track. I have great respect for artist who take the time for their fans. YOU ROCK!
Thanks for your comment and supports, your comments and constant support has brought me this far. Keep Supporting.❤️

Although my comment does not reach JB anymore since he left social media, I cannot express enough of my gratitude for this tutorial and his work. It is amazing to see what he has made out of three chords. A true masterpiece with a hook which keeps in your ear forever. Thank you very much (no sarcasm :-))
"...I'll say this til i'm blue in the face" - JB - Then plays awesome blues!
This is AWESOME!!! Thank you very much Joe!
One of my favorite songs. Thanks for the lesson and jam track!
JB: I’ve got my tickets for your San Antonio concert. It will be an honor to see you in person. I’m taking my sister; your show will be her birthday surprise! Safe travels to you and your band.
A huge THANK YOU Joe, it's incredible to have a song explained by the very artist that created it. It's priceless, And "Drive" is such an amazing one.. it's a masterpiece, really. Just one suggestion: please turn on subtitles, they are invaluable to many people, for multiple reasons. Thanks again!
Thanks for the lesson. I really appreciate how talented Joe B. REALLY is....and how I could never play this!
Rock On!

Just found these. Many thanks. I can but aspire.
Thanks Joe. Saw you in Detroit.
Love this tune!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Man wish I may I wish I might. UA-cam and artist like Joe willing to teach you for the price of a wifi connection and PC oh how this would have been great back in 1973 . I had a stereo from JC Penneys and had to lift the needle for hundreds of times to learn things. Jimmy Page was my inspiration and Michael Shenkner. Been playing and still suck at 56....but it is fun. Coolest guy around...Mr. Bonamassa...thanks dude.☺
tnx Joe!! you are greate!!
Saw you in concert in Portland, such a good show. Looking forward to another how.
Amazing! Nice Strat!
Hi, JB⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoy your JamTrack sessions so Awesome, I hope you can do more I’m also a big Gibson Les Paul fan I love the sounds of a jam solo especially when you are playing so amazing to see all your performances and playing the Blues. Enjoy and have a Great Sunday !!! Danny
Muy buenas las clases, esperamos ansiosos cuando pase esta pandemia vuelvas a la Argentina, un abrazo grande
Grande, il video è ottimo! Grazie Joe
Thank you good sir, epic dude
It's cool to use this Em/Am progression and resolve or even take it to another level with a Bm7 /Am.and still not lose overall feel..just fun
That's a fine gee-tar you got there Joe.
this is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! breakthrough to me
Even his noodling is gold!!!
Is it in 3/4 or 4/4 ? Can't quite get my head around it.
+Μάνος Καραμάνος It's in 4/4
+JohanGru Thanks! He's just playing off the main beats (I think) and it throws me out kinda
I've always said the same, never rely on pedals to make yourself sound good. Just get good at sounding good without pedals first.
You are the fucking coolest Joe!! One of my all time favourite songs.. Thanks man.. 🤘👍
This is a good Riff.
♥️😎🤘🏾
Mon bon Dieu...!!
wonderful Joe to share this with us *guitarists ;))))
Could you please do a Bona Jam Tracks of "Asking Around For You"
good
i cant play guitar but still enjoyed the tutorial
lol
Joe when are you coming back to Seattle?
Has or can someone tag the solo how he plays it here? :)
Awesome song to jam along.
Glad to see Fender 65 out to play.
55*
+Darian Sunny Oechsler. Just wondering. How do you do know. Many possibilities.
+Will Kupers Because of the color! First the neck is maple, Fender did maple necks from 1952 to 1959. Then Rosewood necks. Second, the sunburst is a 2 color tone, which let us know that the strat is from before 1959 because fender did in 1960 a 3 tone sunburst and the third reason.... I know Joe's Guitars because I played some of them! Included this Strat in the video which is a 1955! He Talks alot in guitar Interviews about his beaten up 1955 strat! Hope i could help you! xx
Okay, thanks for the info.
I did know to place it between '54 and '59.
You are damn lucky, that third reason is a dream. Wow.
Honey Quick . And you think it shouldn't on there ?
Hi sir, how many mm for pickup hide do you prefer on rhythm, Squier Stratocaster CV 50s? Would be cool to know.
Amarena
yes!!! I have been hoping Joe would give us mortals some tips and lessons and this is one of my favorite songs of his!! THANKS DUDE!!! If there had only been UA-cam and Joe when I was a kid, but figuring things out by ear and teaching myself was the whole fun of it really but now I want to learn something new every day - and learn from the best.
Has anyone been able to download this or the previous track "No Good Place" from Joe's site - I've tried putting in two different email addresses for both these tracks but so far no link to download either of them.
Tune your high strings, Joe ; - )
Joe Bonamossa use pedal?
Hey cousin Joe how you doing can you teach us how to play prisoner
I think there is a problem with the download version of this video. At the point the jam track should start there's only crackling sound!
Anyone other with that problem? I'm using VLC to play music and videos.
En serio Joe nadie como tu para tocar y enseñat
Have downloaded 3 times and the jamtrack after the video is totally messed up. have no idea what happened?????
young bob is now 63
I want a backing track to "The Last Matador of Bayonne."
That looks like a heavy relic reissue, lol Na just kidding we all know it's a real vintage
When we get to the jam track on the download, it is just fuzz and chirps....
just teach me the c major scale
If I could only see a woman in my guitar...
Search : Eric Gales
And you will see magic
That looks like a heavy relic reissue, lol Na just kidding we all know it's a real vintage
