I played hockey for 16 years of my life in the states. Roller and ice, travelled just about all over the US and Canada and played a few international clubs. Hockey was a huge part of my life. Never heard of this sport though. But it looks freakin awesome. I love soccer, but never played cuz I was so busy with hockey. Too bad they didn't have this in the states though. I would've definitely played it.

Was very interesting at first, but kind of gets dull after a while. Not enough going on. I will say that those guys have to be in great shape, though, to skate on that big ice for as long as they do. I think it would be a good sport to spread here to north america for those who like to play hockey but don't want to get into the overly physical aspects of the game (like body checking), but where they gonna find a rink that size? The one thing I had a hard time getting my head around is that the goal keeper plays without a stick!

Man make the ball black, it's already hard to see considering the wider angle one needs to shoot with on a larger playing surface than hockey, the black provides a clearer contrast than the orange, which would still be hard to see.
E Lewis Bandy is played outside and a big part of the game is long throws from the keeper and high passes I general so if the ball were black it would be impossible for the players to see the ball if the game were played in the evening

Goalie in field hockey has a stick, but I agree it is similar to field hockey with the round ball, numbers of players, size of goals and field.
