Twice these two have broken my heart in the last month, and TWICE I was not prepared for it! I love them so much and I am slightly devastated that we might never get to see more of them (though I live in hope that they'll just bring him back somehow, after all there was no body!!). Also he has so much more to do in his story, I can't believe they're just going to ignore that!
These two weren't who I expected to edit after watching season 2, but hey ho I just decided to go for it. I'm not even sure you can count this as editing I just put random clips next to each other and barely did any editing haha! I just needed to get some feelings out there for these two.
Anyway, I absolutely loved season 2. I know it's crazy rushed and it goes through a billion books at once, but I just loved the chaos and the energy (and the crows!!!!) and so yes it's far from perfect but I enjoyed it! I also am a bit obsessed at the moment because I finally read the Six Of Crows and King Of Scars Duologies this year and so Grishaverse has been my whole world in 2023 so far haha. The Crows and Nikolai own my heart. WHERE WAS MY NIKOLAI&ZOYA??! I know we are too early on, but we screwed up so many timelines. I needed more than those two hints towards them that we got.
If I can face using my computer again (unlikely!) I would love to edit Nina&Matthias (my babies, WHY did they do him dirty and leave him in Hellgate all season, WHYYY) and Inej&Kaz (no words, they were perfection). Please feel free to suggest any songs if you have any!!!
Anyway I have been trying to render this super simple video for what feels like years and now I need to sleep because as always in my life I have a giant headache.
ENJOY! I probably won't edit for another few years now with my track record haha.

Genya has suffered so much. She really didn't deserve to loose David too. It's too cruel. I hope it isn't cannon in the series unlike the books 😢

Luke Pasqualino’s incredibly detailed performance as David is wonderful, but for those of us who remember his early days as Freddie McClair on Skins, it was like deja vu. There are so many echoes of that earlier beautiful girl with a terrible internal struggle and the introverted boy with the messy hair who loved her and tried to save her. Once again we see a monster, a locked door, screams, a splatter of blood. A slow silent shot that withdraws from a long, narrow window framed in white, in a room with pale yellow walls. A girl who tries to sense her lover’s presence, and seeks comfort from gathering his clothing close to her cheek. A heartbreaking note that shows how much he loved her. No body, no funeral-just friends left behind, soldiering on. Not sure if it was intentional, but watching it all again was like having a scab ripped off.
And then we suffered another heartbreak with Our Girl... Elvis died soon after proposing to Georgie. There was also a ring and a paper...
@@Marianna_73 There was a bit of Kev in there, too-another unlikely hero who found nobility in the end. (Fact!) David’s “unbreakable speech” is a reference to kintsugi, the Japanese art of using gold to fill the cracks in things that are broken, thus honoring the flaws and creating something stronger and more beautiful than before. A Durast like David would have thought of Genya in those terms. But I think it applies more to David, a character who is made of the broken pieces of Freddie, Elvis and Kev, finally giving them the honor they deserved.

I'm still gonna remain in denial cause there was no body. Though I know if they're really gonna kill him off ... this is a more effective way to do it. But like ............... PLEASE T^T

Just seems unfair how alina used merzost to revive mal whilst Genya actually has to suffer for losing her David and know grief
I know it was inevitable anyway one day for him, but David’s death in this season when Genya finally just got to be with him, that’s something I’ll never forgive the show for 😢

Naah... He is not dead, David was alive when Yuri appeared in the book, and also the marriage... Nah... No body no death. It's true that (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't remember them finding David's corpse in the book? But anyways, there are a lot of things where David has to contribute, I love Genya and David but if this is his/their ending it is just trash... they minimized David's character just to some romantic storyline when David has a lot more to show lol. It's true that if I have to choose a death for David I would choose the one in the show and not the one in the book (which was just... ridiculous) BUT no corpse no death :S.
