He was truly ahead of his time misunderstood and shunned by the musical society of his time truly a tragedy.
Truly
Wait people dislike howard shore?
I think it's a joke based in the setting of the hobbit (ie op is saying that the goblin king is misunderstood)
Catchy, isn't it? One of my own compositions.
That's not a song! It's an abomination!!!!
@@stoneman472 Abomination, mutations, deviations that's all you're gonna find down here.
@@neroclaudius7284 (The dwarves all shuffle around)
@@Enterprise-D666 abominations, mutations, deviations. That's all you're gonna find down here. Who would be so bold to come armed into my kingdom? Spies? Thieves? Assassins?
@@BillCipher200 Dwarves your malevolence!
Clap, snap, the black crack
Grip, grab, pinch, and nab
Batter and beat
Make ‘em stammer and squeak!
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down in Goblin-town
(Down, down, down in Goblin-town)
With a swish and smack
And a whip and a crack
Everybody talks when they’re on my rack
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down to Goblin-town
(Down, down, down to Goblin-town)
Hammer and tongs, get out your knockers and gongs
You won't last long on the end of my prongs
Clash, crash, crush and smish
Bang, break, shiver and shake
You can yammer and yelp
But there ain't no help
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down in Goblin-town
I watched the Rankin Bass version 1000 times as a kid and always just thought it was a shame there was no "Goblin Town" song in the Jackson movies. Just now finding this gem.
It's in the extended version. I found it yesterday or so
Watching this with theater kids: Oh my word, The Hobbit is a musical movie!
I joked that High School Musical was the remix and The Hobbit was the OG modern musical movie
I listened to this going through Birmingham it's basically the same experience
Birmingham isn't that good...
That's funny, I had this same experience going through Fayetteville, North Carolina, only I didn't have the song playing!
This was only on the extended version. Shame…. It’s great!
This song hits so different
Don't 👏 claim 👏 you 👏 know 👏 Rap 👏 if 👏 you 👏 don't 👏 know 👏 who 👏 this 👏 is 👏
Why did it have to be so short/removed entirely from the theatrical version?
I really don’t know.
It’s in the extended version
Shame it has background sounds...
I remosed all the ones I could erase without damaging the music.
@@thehobbit-completerecordin5178 Thanks for posting it
@@thehobbit-completerecordin5178 you know what the backround instruments are?
This version of the Great Goblin was such an awesome supporting villain!
He was so entertaining to watch, it actually feels kind of sad that he's killed off so quickly.
Sounds like something Danny Elfman would write.
That's who I though it was at first.
Sure he’s down down down in goblin town, but does he remind me of the babe? Lol
What babe?
@@goth_fraggle Babe with the power.
What power?
@@juancruzlitvak3303 Power of Voodoo!
Power of voodoo
Down, down, down in Goblin town!
Rankin-Bass still did it better but the still slaps
I don't remember this in the peter Jackson version 😳
The scene was included only in the extended edition of the movie
I far prefer the Maury Laws version of the Goblin-town song (from the animated Hobbit)
No one is as jazzy as Rankin Bass orcs
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR AGESSSSS

Hold up....
Those 2 places are not near each other....
I love this song
This song crosses the bounds of symphonic metal, a bit...
I actually like this lol😂
Should have been in the theatrical cut
I dont fucking care what anyone says. This is BANGER👌
Down down to the Goblin town!
Whats the instrument used?
Accordions, concertinas, fiddles, violins, pipe organs, bones and a lot of goblins
