The thing I love about the end of Alexia is that her weird obsession with the ants is symbolic of her demise. She turns into a dragonfly like form and she sees Chris and Claire as "ants" metaphorically so she gets a karmic end.
More an irony rather than karma. Not to try and make an argument for the sake of one - but karma's rules contradict themselves in that in order for evil to get its due, first evil must be inflicted upon the good - but then good does not deserve to be wronged by doing nothing but good by the same principle in which evil gets its due by committing evil: why would good be let to be inflicted by evil when nothing warrants it. Therefore karma cannot exist as a principle. Irony however can and does to which your argument would then be set and your statement is definitely agreeable.
things like this are why I think Code Veronica may be *the weirdest* Resident Evil game - it's almost like they took the more bizarre aspects of the previous titles, dialed that to 11 & went totally off the deep-end with it lol all while simultaneously putting in cool symbolism like this. Incredibly dark too, what an awesome game.
People sleep on code Veronica bro. I believe this game is the hardest OG RE game, and also the creepiest. The horror of this game is very psychological, experimenting with the fear of the unknown, torture, and mental illness
There is also so much Lore in this game, that feeds into the much maligned Resident Evil 5. It explains how Wesker got super human speed. This game requires getting acquainted with the knife.
I personally think resident 1 from ps1 to be the hardest , ammo is absurdly scarce , and i dont know about you , but since the graphic is more simple , it gives me the chills because its uncanny
Alexia experimented on Alexander. There was official artwork showing this on a card. This was after Alfred told her the secret of their birth. Alfred didn't unfreeze her in the original. She just woke up on the timer.
The Horror of RockFort Island. A lot of Creatures are So iconic. especially the last boss. And I still feel terribly sorry for Steve 😢😢😢 Great lore explanation as always Evil Blitz❤❤❤
I'd like to know when CAPCOM will remake RECV. If they do decide to remake RECV, I would like to see the backstories of Alexia and Ashford expanded, like how Alfred developed an Alexia-like persona gradually, and when exactly Alexander was thrown to Rockford Island by Umbrella's overlords. Thank you for your efforts.
@@evilblitz Yeah, Wesker literally jumped out of nowhere. It would be excellent if they added an intro scene in which Wesker lands on the island, giving orders to other soldiers, just like what they did with RE4R, in which there is a scene of Krauser training Leon.
@@aliensoapmonkey4417man fr I still remember getting RE4 for my bday 2005 in January right after it dropped. Definitely feels like time has sped up since then!
The Albinoids seem like they could have become the new Lickers based on their lack of eyesight and the young having shown the ability to cling to the ceiling. Perhaps the developers thought a multi surface traversal creature with wide spread electrocution abilities would have been too difficult if spread across the island and limited it to a singular boss type creature, completely optional to fight.
So who finds Alexia still attractive in her first and second transformations despite her becoming a monster? The final one, where she loses her lower half of her body, is a turn off.
Damn science, they were so busy figuring out how to make electrical sex organ monsters they never stopped to think if they SHOULD make electrical sex organ monsters
When I first encountered the Adult Albanoid guarding that key item, I managed to immediately run in, grabbed the item, and got out the water without getting hit once by it and that was the first time I played the game too. I was surprised that I evaded damage from it. The music during the encounter was nice.
*This one was always so weird to me, even by Resident Evil standards lol 😅. I may not be a code Veronica fan like others who are into Resident Evil, but I would love to see what Capcom does with this wackiness if they decide to remake it.*
An often overlooked fact about the Lore of Code Veronica was a detail about how the T-Veronica Virus works as mentioned in a file found in an optional area during Chris' section outside the giant Anthill area opposite of the room with the capsule Alfred's body is found in: It's in the 3rd page of the "Research Report on Queen Ant" file that mentions the Symbiotic Relationship between the Anthill (The Veronica Virus) and Queen Ant (Host) there's a section mentioning "The death of the queen ant means the doom of the entire anthill. However the soldier and worker ants can be replaced as long as the queen ant is alive." Meaning that if the "Queent Ant" aka the host of the T-Veronica Virus dies, all traces of the"Anthill" AKA T-Veronica Virus dies with the host.
I think the enemies in Revelation 2 were the most terrifying. RE games don’t necessarily scare me like they did before but when it did Revelations 2 really did me in.
One of the things I miss about the old one that she loved her brother but in an umbrella Chronicles she pretty much kills her own brother and I always hated that
@evilblitz I certainly did. Thank you very much. You know, I've always wondered what it would be like if Steve did, in fact, come back to life, as Wesker said.
@30:14 cheated her for giving him an empty gun? Well what about some .30 Luger rounds for the Empty Gold Lugers he gave her? When she gets them from him they don't have even one round of ammo left 😂
Steve is one of those 1 off characters who i really like for some reason. I also thought when Wesker said that "He might revive like i did" that this would be a teaser for his eventual return but, no such luck.
Steve is not an enemy. He only becomes hostile after the T-Veronica Virus takes over. When he realized what was happening he regained control and saved Claire. You cannot convince me to hate Steve.
Helps Claire get luggers since without him she would just keep triggering the trap endlessly, saves Claire from a Bendersnatch's insta-kill attack, clears route through lower floors for Claire, kills his own father who was zombified to save Claire, shoots Alfred dressed as Alexia to save Claire, kicks Alfred away from Claire after he tried ambushing them, kept plane flying while Claire dealt with a T-078, catches Claire after she drops down from the wrecked plane, saves Claire from Alfred at the Antarctic base, takes a hit from Alexander who has already turned into Nosferatu, after being turned into a BOW himself he regains control and attacks the Alexia pod to save Claire, gets mortally wounded and dies shortly after confessing his feelings for her. He might be annoying at times but he is 100% a friend, not an enemy, nice try.
I don't recall the T-078 being transported to the island to combat HCF. It was transported there for training purposes against Umbrella operatives. And it wasn't just Ant genetics that Progenitor was combined with. T- Veronica is comprised of Progenitor, the Ancient Virus found in the Queen Ant that Alexia was using, and Plant genetics.
So account one of Alfred's death shows mutual love between them, account two on the other hand showed Alfred loved Alexia but it was one-sided, Alexia viewing Alfred as nothing more than a pawn that outlived his usefulness.
I've been watching for a while now at the lore videos and there good work that you've done, but my only opinion is the AI picture ls you add arnt great and the kind of take me out of the video like a distraction
Good evening 🌃. I'm fan of resident evil series 🧟♂️🧟♀️. Everyone have great day and next day and week and weekend and next week and full happiness 😊😊😊😊😊😊.
Imma say it again in hopes the word spreads among the community. The concept is so cool, and all the story telling potential it would have is crazy! Capcom needs to make another escape raccoon city style game. One that’s free roam where you can explore the whole city and experience the outbreak from start to finish. But if players don’t stay aware of what’s going on around them, they’ll unknowingly die in the eventual destruction of Raccoon City on Oct 1st. I’ve gotten reactions regarding this idea, and if done right it’ll be an epic survival horror experience! Outbreak Remastered! CODE: Veronica is a golden example of how a zombie nightmare can continue for seemingly forever even after the supposed disaster to end all disasters. Resident Evil NEVER goes global with the zombie outbreaks, keeping them localized in supposedly forgettable locations and only teasing the idea of the apocalypse. I can’t wait to see what a remake of this game would look like!
