My family is buried here. I too will be buried here one day. I never visit here alone though. I always have an uneasy feeling being there alone. Like I’m being watched.
I felt the same way filming during the day! It’s an odd feeling but peaceful looking place.
Last time I was in that cemetery was 1995 at 3am and I will never step foot on that property again.
That’s terrifying! They don’t have any lights out there either
"Don't be coming for me Onion Head!" 🤣
I don't want that thing heading my way hahaha
@@LouisianaDread 🤣🤣
My grandmother and great Aunt were traiteurs.
Maybe they passed some of their skill down to you?
Very cool video! The Mall of America has a haunted experience called Onionhead's Revenge and the plot of the story is based in Slidell. The CEO of the company that created the haunt is originally from Slidell so it is in honor of him. It's neat to know that team based the story off a local legend.
Oh wow! I love that!
So interesting! I wish it were longer so we all could hear more. ❤️
Longer videos are coming soon!
I want to visit it i live not far.
You definitely should!
We used to go hangout & drink booze back there on Fri & sat night
It’s a nice little spot for recreational activities haha
I live in Slidell. We heard about this “legend” back when I was in high school. So we went to Onionhead cemetery many times. There was never any kind of any thing scary or anyone on these grounds. I’m pretty sure that this whole story is just some made up folklore.
All folklore derives from actual events. That's the beauty of Louisiana folklore.
I heard of it in an old Times-Picayune but no one I talked to had heard of it.
I lived in Slidell for eight years and loved it! My maiden name is Haas. Haaswood was just developing when I lived there. It used to be a swamp I think then was covered over.
Onionhead and Charlie No Face, aren’t so different.
Both are horrific!
