Wow that actually what I need perfect timing kit thanks Going on a trip after a month from now and my excitement goes through the roof 😂 I really want to catch a 20kg+ dog tooth tuna any tips?
I have it...I don't use it that much because unless you have a pedal and you have both hands free, its much easier to manage spooling without it. If I have someone helping me with the drill, then sure, I can use it.
The more line your reel has, the faster it is. so when a particular reel says it has a gear ratio of 6:1 and it takes in say 70cm of line per crank, that is measured on a full spool. If you watch my other videos when I discuss lines etc - you will find a full explanation. But in a nutshell, 4x is more sensitive than 8x and if you look deeper, a lot of very experienced japanese jiggers use 4x, not 8x.
That’s exactly how I fill my reels too. Easier if you have another reel, or spare spool, that is exactly the same and just reverse fill the original one and use a line counter to know how much backing you need.
No need for a line counter, why would you need it when you can just see and decide on how much backing you need to fill it up the way you want it. the most important thing there for me is that I know that I have 500m of line before I see my backing. counting how much backing I have isn't really important because 99% of the time, I wont see it.
Glad to see you're back again 🙌
I will have a look on this spooler on my next visit 🤗
Have you tested the double uni breaking strain? I was thinking of using a short piece of mono and connecting the braid using 2 PR knots
Uni is too bulky
Thanks for e good tips...

Any reason why you didn’t use the level head line counter?

Hi mate, is there any particular reason why you spool your reel with that much line? And why use the X4 instead the x8? Thanks 😁

Hello master gaano po kahalaga ang backing ano po porpuse.? Pwede po ba ung isang line lang walang dugtong na backing sa ilalim?
