      @@menwithven8114 exactly! I hate the bad rep Irsay gets! Because while an obviously flawed person (as we all are) Irsay seems like a good dude overall. But I feel like people still continue to judge him based mainly off these 2 things…
      *1.)* His past demons he struggled with years ago (AKA his struggles with addiction and substance abuse)
      *2.)* His father, Robert Irsay (A man who… well, who wasn’t very well liked by majority people. _Which would be putting it lightly_ lol)

And for somebody to judge you solely on your demons when you've done a lot of good things in this world for people. It's not right. Sort of like Joe. Thomas said that Jim Irsay hired jeff Saturday just because he was his drinking buddy. That's an insult to Jim irsay and to jeff Saturday as a Christian man.

    Thank you for telling Edgerrin James's story Flemlo! I have a newfound respect for James upon learning the discipline he had to live two lives simultaneously while not falling into the pitfalls that many people fall into in Miami. His story showed me that in order to accomplish big goals in life hard work, discipline, and calculated decision making are required.

    I still remember watching this draft as a kid. I was a huge Ricky Williams fan. When the Colts drafted Edge, I remember how stunned everyone was. They panned over to Ricky Williams and he said “Damn”. I couldn’t believe it. But after that, I started watching Edge and learning about who he was and he became my favorite player.

      One of the biggest mistakes ever, Ricky Williams was amazing and it’s a shame that he had to be a work horse for teams with bad QBs in the Saints and Dolphins which caused him great mental stress and took away his love of the game….the colts would have been such a better team with Williams and he was definitely the better talent

    As a 2001 baby I'm mad as fuck that I haven't heard of Edge until the latter half of last year. Dude was a beast and left everything on the field. I know that man sleeps good at night knowing that he gave it his all. What a well deserved gold jacket and bust in Canton.

    I’m from Naples FL, played against Immokalee High every year, Edge would come occasionally, great dude! I also played against his cousin Javaris James and had like 6 TFL against him which immediately got me a few offers, it was the highlight of my football career lol.     Great Story Lo.. As the son of a NFL HALL OF FAMER, EDGE has always been one my Top Five runningbacks I enjoyed watching thru the years. Glad he earned his jacket, well deserved..

    Great info, this cat is all time great. Never forgotten, I remember my school (Baylor University) getting a visit from him and Reggie Wayne our sophomore yr in 97. Egde getting on the field a running us down that day, cool cat for sure, very humble until this day. Love how you salute the legends fam

    Edge is my all time favorite back. He deserves so much more recognition. He was a huge part of why Peyton was so good. Plus, he was and is such a good good role model. He has raised multiple talented kids who he has molded into incredible kids who are well behaved and extremely talented. Normally that stuff goes to a kids head but he taught them right.

I clicked on this video not really expecting to be entertained because Edgerrin wasnt really on my football radar. I remember watching him play but didnt realized how good he actually was or how hard he worked to get to where he got.     Always knew that he'd be a great. He is the true American Dream. I grew up an FSU fan that hated Miami U, but James was so good at football that during the games I was cheering for him as he's crushing my team.

      Right. I just looked into their drafts from 98-05, they actually didn’t have a year with a deep quality draft - 2003 was close with Dallas Clark and Robert Mathis - but they usually NAILED their first pick (Manning, Edge, Wayne, Freeney, Clark, Bob Sanders)

    I always was a fan of Eddgerin because he was the Epitome of Not Judging a Book by its cover...Dude was mature smart as a player, and even with his money. He had Character and was a role model for other brothers who are misunderstood because they look a certain way.He was just a real dude whos realness wasn't aggresive or offensive.
