guys this is world class!!! yohh I did not know our actors were this capable; whoever drove them and directed them did a magnificent job!!!.. I felt like I was alive 200 years ago; Even the guy who is portraying zwide is on his A game; I can only imagine the performance from the one who will be playing Shaka.

This is the only depiction of Shaka I will ever believe, not that nonsense fed to us when we were kids. As a Xhosa, who didn’t know about Shaka Zulu, I believed everything they said about him and thought of him as a villain but this makes more sense than what I was taught.
It is very important for us Africans to not allow outsiders to tell our stories because most if the time, it’s never accurate!!!
The reality is that he was indeed a villain. These fictionalised accounts are meant to portray him as a complex character for the sake of entertainment. They have to add layers to the character to the audience can sympathise with him.
The true horrors of Shaka are told by tribes that encountered the Zulus during his reign. He was feared for a reason.
