النافتا في صورتها الاوليه لا يمكن استخدامها كوقود وتكون ذات اهميه اقتصاديه ضعيفه ..ومن هنا يأتي دور وحدات معالجه النافتا لتحويل النافتا الي منتجات بتروليه ذات اهميه كبري اهمها البنزين بإختلاف انواعه وتدخل في صناعه البتروكيماويات حيث يتم استخدامها في انتاج الايثيلبن الذي يتم بلمرته لانتاج البولي ايثيلين ..
وطبعا بيتم كمان ازاله مركبات الكبريت والنيتروجين في وحده معالجه النافتا بالهيدروجين نظرا لخطورتهم وضررهم علي العوامل الحفازه ...
!!!
what is reactor system in unit naphtha hydro treating?
The naphtha hydrotreating unit uses a cobalt-molbdenum catalyst in the reactor to remove sulfur by converting it to hydrogen sulfide ,that is removed along with unreacted hydrogen..
Some of hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide mixture is recycled back to the reactor to use unreacted hydrogen also we use hydrogen make-up stream to compensate the reacted hydrogen ..
Reactor condition for naphtha hydrotreating unit are around (205-260c) and pressure of (25-45bar)....

The reactor used in these process is (Fixed bed catalytic reactor ) these reactor is cylinderical tube filled with catalyst pellets with reactants flowing through the bed and being converted into products ..
Reactor consists of three regions
1-at the top we have inert grading it minimizes pressure drop build-up..
2-active grading (topose grading) it eliminates the poisons ,traps metals and provide hydrogenation activity ...
3-The third region is the longest and most important one ,its the Catalyst region..

Fixed bed reactor system
*A fixed bed reactor (converter)is a vessel that contains a mass of small particles ,usually 0.1to0.2inch in diameter ,through which the reaction mixture passes,the mass is usually a packed catalyst which promotes the reaction..
*The bed of packing whether catalyst or inert particles is positioned in the direct path of the process flow ,and can be arranged as a single large bed or several beds each on its owo shell.
*As the process medieum passes throught the catalyst ,the reaction occurs.the catalyst occupies a fixed position inside the reactor and it is not designed to leave the reactor with process fluid..
*The packing must be strong enough to resist collapsing..
*If packing is catalyst ,it is active life should be long enough to produce products runs of economic duration..
*Many converters have a method of removing or adding heat from the bed ..
*The free area of the packing must be great enough to allow an acceptable pressure drop thruogh the reactor at design feed rates..
