This might just be my favorite Castlevania song ever. If not, then it’s definitely up there!
The Bloodlines version is a supreme demonstration what Sega genesis could do. Love these music. I used to hear like this many castlevania music in a desperate situation to encourage myself. CASTLEVANIA IS NO.1 WHEN IT CAME TO MUSIC/SOUND TRACK..!!!!!
Sega FM Soundchip sucks or so I thought. Bloodlines, Contra Hardcorps, Gunstar Heroes and numerous Compile games say otherwise. Just have to have someone on music that's not embarassing.
Yuzo Koshiro is another person who managed to make standout music on the Mega Drive.
One of the best Castlevania song ever
Portrait of Ruin’s probably my favorite one because of the additional bits added to the original track that the other ones haven’t. Judgment however is a close second for the instrumentation.
I think you might appreciate Noble Demon's arrangement of it. ua-cam.com/video/s8kG--kC0mE/v-deo.htmlsi=IhTsmCJzEikAZpCs
Castlevania series may be dead but CastleVania Music is Undead.
When I played Castlevania Bloodlines for my first time, this was my absolute favourite track.
Say what you will about Castlevania Judgment, but the rendition of Iron Blue Intention is great. It really captures the feeling of desperate urgency turned into steely resolve that the track portrays. I think it's the drums, they're like the tapping of the feet of a Belmont on the move.
@@kinnikuboneman Hot take: Judgement is nowhere close to the irredeemable trash people love to pretend it is, and many of them are just mad that some Castlevania characters look different than they always thought.
@@ElFreakinCid You mean look different than they canonically did in the past. Cornell went from a fairly wiry dude to a giant muscle hulk, and Grant went from a pirate to... that weird Voldo wannabe.
The rawness of the Yamaha YM2612 just shines in this OST... Genesis version is the best, hands down.
Man, bloodlines has such a great OST. Calling from Heaven and this are my favorites, they seriously deserve some more recognition among the amazing tracks in the series. Wish Konami would get off their asses and make a new game, even if it's outsourced like that new Getsu Fuuma game.

I won't lie, half the reason I love this track so much is because it reminds me of Shostakovich's 5th (which i used to listen to on cd when i went to sleep as a kid)
The other half is because it's just a really darn good track.
I certainly can hear the similarities. you never know , Michiru Yamane probably used his work as inspiration for this track. : )
for a game about the Son of John Morris, yeah I totally agree with there being a remix of this in PoR. it just screams "it makes sense!"
When I first entered 13th street in PoR, I said... holy shit is it the song from bloodlines?
And then a fucking train appears out of nowhere to kill the vibe.
3:17 don’t mind me just using this for myself.
ギャラリーオブラビリンスでバンパイアキラーからこの曲をチョイスしたセンスは凄い
this music only appeared when the WW1 and WW2 or any war and conflict has happened behind the scene.
it's for that reason that I view it as the definitive present-day/current-century-castlevania anthem (since Aria's events are still a decade into the future at the time of writing this)
#1 Is perfect. Thanks.
I think the Smash version is clearly too much. Works best with very clear and straight forward instrumentation. PoR (in-game) version 1:1 remade in higher quality would be perfect.
an epic BGM
Com certeza a versão do Portrait of Ruin é a melhor
Wonderful
You say it's every version, but Dracula Battle Perfect Selection is nowhere to be seen. Curious.......
As I've stated many times, the Album versions are not accounted for these videos, just videogames + OST exclusives.
I know you might have been referring to all versions of iron blue intention encountered in the games but since it does say all versions "ever" I must also submit Naoto Shibata's arrangement of it from Dracula Battle: Perfect Selection Vol. II - ua-cam.com/video/1-eYXUvJifY/v-deo.html 😉
Bloodlines exceeds at everything SCV4 did bad - and even better at what SCV4 did really good!
Bloodlines gives a balanced, difficult experience, but you will always get further with every time you die. It has the most unique, weird and amazing set pieces. It has two characters that each play different enough to get different LEVELS! It has amazing music, too! ... Except Reincarnated Soul. I don't like this one, to be honest.
@@Gyrokun Rondo is THE BEST Classicvania, but Bloodlines still had something to improve on! 4 is just a classic, sad that it's not considered canon.
@@Gyrokun Same... It's the easiest one for newbies, that's why it's lovee. Not that it's a bad thing!
