When this guy gets a new mic it will be a game changer
True. Such good information. I had to rely on Closed Captions to appreciate his work.
@@Lexilea68I don't like it
These bring back memories of going to the fair as a kid. Haven't been on one in ages.
theres nothing better than crushing your parents or friends on a twist
chfilms1 It’s all fun and games until you sit on the outside.
Ah, the classic 'Scrambler'. I've been going on those for nearly 40 years now. I greater prefer the old-school 'grasscutters' (slang for Eli Bridge models) over the newer 'Sizzler' version; the kick is much more natural.
One thing you did not mention: this flat ride is often placed indoors and coupled with strobe lights and loud music. Of particular note to myself: the "Poltergeist" at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights NJ. (The current version is new; the older version was lost to Superstorm Sandy.)
Interesting to me how the 'Twist' ride in Europe spins the other way (not backwards, but still in the other direction).
Pop-culture reference: a Scrambler ride (running backwards) appears in the video "She Loves Me Not" by Papa Roach.
Nice debut for FROTW on this channel. I look forward to future installments.
Still waiting on: Musik Express, Rainbow, Power Surge, Shake
I’d say the ride experience is more lateral forces than near misses.
Patrick Musselman that’s the reason I always hop on.
Traveling in great long ellipses.
this will forever be my favorite ride ever
Hey is there any chance you could upgrade audio quality it’s really hard to hear with the music over. I love the series though been following since the start !
I love the Sizzler. It's probably my favorite flat ride. You really get pushed into the side of the seat. If you have another person with you make sure to tell them to hold onto the lap bar as to not squish you so hard.
Scramblers are so much fun! Classic
Hey nice video, in Spain there are a few Scrblers, they used to call them Zigzag's. Also we have one with rotating góndolas, it's called DishDrop
Thanks for the info, I did not know that Spain has that kind of ride!
My favorite flat ride 😁 Great video 👍
The scrambler is one of my favourite rides at my home carnival
Never seen the last one before...
Looks like an interesting Idea.
Once the mic quality gets better you'll be golden
I’m hyped to see this series continue! Are you able to do a video on superloop rides soon? Those are my favorite carnival rides.
that lifting one looks awesome
We have one in Switzerland travelling called Twister from showmen Bauer.
I love scramblers. So much fun. The one at CP seems to run pretty smoothly
This ride is wholesome 😇
I remember back in the early 80s riding a gas motor powered scrambler.
Can you showcase the Super Loop/Larson Loop as a "Flat Ride of the Week" (it is a flat ride..... right.?)
That one's also on the planning, and it will also be a special one!
Schwarzkopf Fanboy Sounds awesome 👍🏼
Love the Scrambler!
Can you fix the eco in your recordings? That would make the video 10 times better.
Is the snapshot at 6:00 from the movie "Grease"?
If you ever get a chance you should ride it’s awesome
I love this series, could you do one for slingshot rides?
It's on the planning! I'll have a special guest for that one.
Schwarzkopf Fanboy, is it GP to Enthusiasts?
@@SchwarzkopfFanboy :D thanks for replying, and this is exciting news!
@@ldhproductions112 No. But he will join in for some other episodes soon!
@@SchwarzkopfFanboy I would also LOVE a video about the Miami rides
I love scramblers. They are full of those lateral forces. I remember sometimes the ride operator made the kids ride on the outside and the parents on the inside for fun. Some kids weren’t happy about being crushed by their parents...
Also, Astrosphere is I think the only indoor scrambler. It comes with a light show and Fire on High by ELO plays.
I love our locally built gee whizzer, nice to see it get a mention :) it's got a new colour scheme now compared to the photo that was shown. unfortunately due to covid our local shows/fairs keep getting cancelled so I haven't been able to ride one recently 😢
There is precisely one Twister I know of in the US. it's the one Bates Brothers Amusement Company owns. It was built by ARM/Sonacase. Bates gets a lot of ARM rides since we have one of their plants here in Ohio, and it's right across from where Bates stores their rides. I wanna say that Bates got the ride around 1994
Who is the manufacturer shown at 4:40??? That is the one at my home park of SFGAm!
When did the claustrophobic bar come into play? I cannot ride anymore due to the new lockbar across lap and abdomen.
Best version I ever rode was at Six Flags Great Adventure which I knew as the "Super Scrambler" or "Super Sidewinder", which I was told was a one-of-a-kind, but I wish someone would remake one.
Another major difference between the Scrambler and the Calypso is that the Calypso is built on an angle. Also I like the Calypso better for that reason.
I remember riding a Scrambler and also the Calypso ride at Whitney’s Playland at the Beach in San Francisco in the mid 1960’s. Sadly the amusement Park was demolished for condos in 1972
This is my favorite fair ride, though the first time I ever rode one it was a permanent one inside of a building where during the ride it was nearly pitch black and they flashed strobes and used projectors on the wall to make it look like ghosts were throwing you around the room. I want to say it was Ghostbusters themed but that could be me blending memories or my parents telling me that to make me want to ride (I really liked slimmer as a kid)
Scramblers are know only by Scramblers built by Eli Bridge Co in Jacksonville IL. There are other rides that work like the Scrambler, called Twister or Sizzler. They are built by other companies. I used to work for Eli Bridge Co.
awesome video, could you please make one about break dances. This because they are very common and because there are a lot of diffrent versions like the ghostrider. keep the video's going!
We already made one about the Break Dancers a while back: ua-cam.com/video/6Q_REIeajnM/v-deo.html
An episode about Break Dance style rides with inverting gondolas (Like Shakers and Huss Boosters) will probably come soon, it's on my planning.
@@SchwarzkopfFanboy thanks
Do one on the huss rainbow and other magic carpet/flying carpet rides
I went on these
I keep on being crushed by my siblings
Ah, the Scrambler. The ride where I've felt the most forces. I always went on it with my Dad and enjoyed crushing each other.
You should do the Disko rides next
Anything about the Merry Mixer version?
Can he do one about the Himalaya , Flying Bobs , Tempest , and Trabant ?
The Sizzler (UK version) is more powerful than the scrambler and the arms are thicker to handle the torque and forces exerted on it.
Never been on a scrambler but have been on the Twister. It was a PWS V3 prototype Twister/Sizzler. The most common Scrambler rides in the UK are PWS/Sonacase Twisters. The US has one Twister made by ARM/Sonacase and I think one made by PWS. In my opinion, I prefer Twister rides to scrambler as they look more attractive.
The 2 in the US are both ARM I believe
@@j_y06 okay. I know Bate's Bros have one.
@@andrewgrindley6773 Yes, the other one is owned by RCS (Ray cammack shows)
Big Eli those were a pain in the ass to put together havey not until don wisdom rebuilt it and maid the whole thing all trailer mounted way nicer
I called this ride Squashy when I was a kid.
The Scrambler is my boyfriends favorite flat ride.
Wow I've never seen a raising one.
I have rode a super sizzler. It's goes forwards and backwards.
Great Video!!!! F+L, Corey
I've been on a scrabler
We need to set a go fund me for a mic
No need for that anymore, my new mic just arrived
Schwarzkopf Fanboy ok By the way you have some really good content
the portable scrambler is loaded on on carrier
wow just because of gp2e u gained over 500 subs
Chance rides built a ride I can't remember the name of the ride but it had 8 cross sweep's it was a scrambler just way way bigger it actually came on a 60 ft ride trailer I can remember it swayed low in the middle of it like an old horse it was back in the 1960s
Get a better mic man! Honestly, I like the German / European accents, they genuinely are pleasant to listen to, but the mic quality is horrible. Get a new mic, please! I promise your views will go up :)
Bad sound
SKING DANCE IN BRAZIL!
Do the Whip next.
