  • The journey aboard the driverless AirTrain JFK train from JFK Terminal 7 to Howard Beach.
This line uses the same technology developed by Bombardier initially for the Vancouver SkyTrain, and now also used elsewhere such as Kuala Lumpur's Rapid KL metro system.
The system has two connections to the New York City Subway - to the A Train at Howard Beach, and to the E, J & Z Trains at Sutphin Blvd/Archer Avenue. Connections to the Long Island Railroad are also available at Jamaica.
The line is owned and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, so fares are not fully integrated to the MTA system, and are more than double the price of the flat rate NYC Subway fare.
