Okay so this isn't REAAlly a sure fire way to get closure for this series (cause its from a different production in Chinese, without the Korean actors), You can try watching the chinese Scarlet Heart "步步惊心"'s 2nd part, where they address all the cliffhangers created in the first season. The chinese version is a hecc more brutal and stuff, but maybe it can help to let you imagination run while still managing to get a grasp of the story. The chinese version was the original too, and scarlet heart ryeo is just a Korean adaptation to that, so it's definitely worth a try hehe

이 드라마 보면...인생...앞날을 안다해도 사람이란 미랠 안다고 달라진다고 바꿀 수도 없다는걸... 그저 운명에 순응하게 되고 생각대로 될 수 없는데 인생이라는 대서사시라는 걸 이 드라마가 대신 말해주는것 같다는... 아련하고 안타깝다 소와 해수 그리고 내 인생...

This is the song when Soo was coping with her life without Wang. She's trying so hard for her child. Even tho she love Wang soo so much. The child must be free from the cruel life inside the palace. I'm proud of her.

it’s not the worst but it could have been better, I hope with all my heart they make 2 season but I think they are not going to make it because this drama wasn’t that popular in korea, it only got popular internationally

I think the ending is the best from another perspective. Yes wangso and haesoo couldn't be together, but that make us can't move on and forget this drama because we always hope for they continue their story on season 2 or anything 😅😅 that makes this drama unforgetable.
Just done watching this and I can't get over. The twist, the casts, the acting skill, the editing, the plot, the words used, the chemistry, the moral lesson, and so on. I love it so much!

What stuck most in my mind about this series is the ending, like how he looked into his daughter eyes the way he looked at his love. He had a daughter that he could've lived with atleast to feel her presence, but he was even not allowed to have that.
드라마 완성도는 no.1 이라고 하기에 애매할 수 있지만, OST만큼은 이 드라마가 2010년대부터 지금까지 최고다. 모든 노래가 좋음.

I feel like this is the ONLY drama people to this DAY are hoping for a happy ending. Like a part of us want it for our heart to be at ease. But a part of us also want hae soo and Wang so to get the happy ending they deserve.
I been listening to this song for one day and a night straight.. I mean will be finishing work in an hour and drive through London .. so if you hear it blasting out of a car … you guessed right…me! I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday but I may as well stop as my heart aches enough as it is!
