Now that you mention how long it would take to install those locs individually, I have a newfound respect for crochet styles; they really are time savers🙏🏼

I looove that you mentioned redefining "fails" as successes. You're entirely right! I'm not going to give up on this style. I think I'll give it another try with curly hair instead.. it might come out nicer. 😄
I installed some individual crochet locs and they held up magically for nearly five weeks! Minimal sheddong for my fine strands as well! I think it ilwould place potentially too much tension on your strands. Monitor as you wear the style sis! 🙏🏾 ❤
Ohhh, individual crochet locs are so beautiful! I love the look so much but I really struggled with taking them down. 5 weeks is AWESOME!! I'm sure you enjoyed a lot of beautiful new growth during that time frame 😍🙌🏾
As for my style, I really didn't like the look, especially from the front so I took them down. I will try it again another time though 💃🏾😆

@@FineNaturalHairROCKS It’s not taking long maybe less than 2 hours, it’s very soft. The hair is 10 inches, it’s not that big and the hair is very light.💜

I've always wanted to try crochet but I can't cornrow to save my life lOl! Do you know if it would still work with flat twits? I can see what you mean, it's just too much hair. I'm sure if you found extensions that are thinner, it would look amazing!
Hahaa, I get that completely! Braiding can be a struggle, especially when we're doing it on our own heads! It also takes FOREVER which is a massive drawback if time is short (which it usually is! lol). You can probably do crochet on flat twists, so long as the flat twists are tight. As for this style, I will try it again with less hair. I'm happy I was able to get the faux locs in, so that's a plus. Now I just need to find a way to make the look more attractive and wearable. I felt like it was way too big when it was down, plus I didn't like how the roots looked. I need to try it again with the individual crochet loc technique. 🤔

This is a good tutorial 👌🏼 i did crochet braids a long time ago and loved them. The locs are pretty with the curls. If you get more locs to finish the other side it would be nice. It looks good up in a bun.
