Okay, this might sound random but I just HAVE to share this 😂 My boyfriend didn’t have a birthday or anything, but I read somewhere that most men only get their first flowers at their funeral. So I was like... um no, I’m changing that. I got him this LEGO flower bouquet made for men. I handed it to him and said, ‘I read this and thought of you,’ and omg, he actually teared up! 😭 We spent the evening building it together like a little date night, and it was so much fun. Honestly, I didn’t expect him to react like that... I think he was really touched. Anyway, it’s super cute and now it's sitting on his desk haha. Just wanted to share because it made me so happy

what a beautiful story. you're right , men don't get flowers normally so when suddenly one receives flowers is really unexpected . I have received flowers once in my life ,about ten years ago , and I still remember that day
So many men don’t get to be in touch with their empathy, their actual feelings, or genuine connective interactions because of how we treat them and teach them to treat each other societally, and it’s so not fair! They deserve flowers, poems, songs, romancing, places and chances to grow and heal parts of themselves that are bitter or angry or scared!!! Props to you for recognizing that and actually friggin doing something about it!!!! It doesn’t need to have a monetary value obviously… the time and energy and thought is more the point. But it matters. There needs to be more time put into this kind of thing not just by partners but also men being friends to each other doing the same!! 💖
I hope you are well on the mend d by time you read this. Veggies and lots of water have helped me drop 22 lbs. I am 58, and one thing I’ve realized is it’s never too late to make some changes. I am diabetic, but I’m getting taken off 2 insulins because I’ve used some of your recipies and made them a staple. Thank you!

Tip for when you feel run down/have a cold starting I swear by it and it was a tip given to me by my best friend, I suffer alot from sinus infection/sinus headache/sinus pressure and this helps for that too, buy a real eucalyptus plant and pop it in your shower (doesn't have to be big and obviously in a little pot) the steam of your shower releases the scent of the plant and helps fight your cold it's a natural super plant for helping in that area. Also if your like some of us who may break out with spots when your run down, tea tree oil put a drop on a cotton bud and swab it over the spot it reduces the redness and seeps into your skin to attack the puss underneath. Your right with the water it flushes everything out, try boiling water with a slices of lemon (let it get to a warm/hot temp you can sip at it comfortably) lemon is an extra boost to flush everything out x

next time you're sick, try Andrographis by St. Francis! I felt a cold coming on, popped some of that into a little cup of water (do it three times daily), the next day, I had no respiratory symptoms! You can get St.Francis from a Goodness Me! or a health food/supplement store :)

You should definitely use produce bags to put raw chicken or any type meat in and put in a separate grocery bag if possible! Juices from the chicken can leak and cross contaminate that sushi and anything else you have in the grocery bag

Please replace those plastic cutting boards with a wooden one. The plastic ones shed micro plastics into your food and can be ingested. They are not safe.
I'm glad you took those extra days to recharge and focus on getting better. I find it astonishing people get "shocked" of that. Taking a break isn't going to kill you. your body isn't made to do everything. we're human. if your body is telling you to slow down, that means your doing way too much and need to take it easy. 👌

Tara.....echinacea goldenseal......natures miracle worker. Great as a preventative or if you are already feeling it cuts the duration. All natural you can get it most places (I get mine at Walmart.) I used to catch everything now rarely sick . If I feel run down or achy or around someone who is sick I start it immediately.
I was kinda sad to see her leave the house without at least masking, but also remembered that this time of year, we tend to have a spike in allergies and its easy to confuse allergies and illness; its the same symptom profile unfortunately.
Girl I hear you about listening to your body but all that changes when you become a mom. You will one day understand what I mean when you are a mom that sometimes you need to push yourself for your kids.
oh for sure, when you have kids to take care of you kinda have no choice hahah but I am obviously childless and I have the ability to listen to my body & relax when I need it!
I can understand what you mean of course, but also if you’re sick and you have kids…you should still try and take it easy! sometimes there is the necessity of having to push yourself for your kids. BUT…if you have a significant other, then ask them to help take care of the kids! it should not always have to fall on you, especially when you’re sick and not doing well. Raising a child takes a village…..don’t have your parenting life be spent in the (metaphorical) cabin all alone in the woods. Give yourself grace and patience!!!
