I remember I was at a karting race a few years ago I was going around the track and heard this crazy noise and when I pulled into the pits after the race I realized there was a Corse Clienti event happening and the noises were FXXK's and 599XX EVO's. I couldn't believe how loud they were!
God would pardon me to say this is almost a perfect thing. Old 458 sound F1 599XX, FXX FXXK evo which sounds like a group of lions itself and all that in binaural high quality-inmmersive experience audio... I want to cry of happiness! THANK YOU BOZZY, THANK YOU!!!
So interesting how engines can make such uniquely different sounds. I can only imagine the feeling and the sound of being behind the wheel of one of these marvels.

That's the GTE version made for the ACO sports car racing regulations. The 458 GTE raced in IMSA, WEC, ELMS, Asian LMS and Le Mans 24 Hours. I have seen this car every year at Le Mans from 2011 to 2016. It was so loud yet sounded so good!

F1 really needs to give us some cars people will love listening too. I hear these two and get a shiver down my spine from the awesome sound alone, I listen to the current cars and do nothing but shake my head in disappointment :(
It's really amazing how I can hear the cars going around the turns coming closer and farther away from me even though the audio is coming from behind me. I love these videos. I don't even have to close my eyes to keep track of where the audio is coming from!
PLEASE KEEP POSTING LONG CLIPS LIKE THESE. I love hearing the sounds get quieter and louder as the cars approach and get further away. Its so relaxing I love it!
These are binaural recordings (probably made with a dummy head), which leads to full 360° positional audio when using headphones. This does not work on 1, 2, 5.1 or even 10 speakers.
@Taistelu_pelto If the setup includes complete echo cancellation, putting the speakers to the left and right of your head and isolating the left ear from the right speaker and vice versa, yes.

The 599 downshifts are flawless The Enzo FXX screams on acceleration The FXX-K Evo just kills my ears in all the right ways Everything ferrari makes as a special edition sounds so incredibly visceral Unfortunately the 488 is an afterthought in the sound department, probably because of race regulations
For petrolheads like us, this is a symphony from heaven. I don't care how fast or green the EVs are. Without the auditory drama, you might as well just hail a Uber instead of driving yourself. This is the reason why I never care about Formula E racing. I sincerely hope that Porsche's e-fuel can prolong ICE's life for as long as I live.

I'm surprised people haven't been using Binaural audio recording for automotive use for decades. It's so simple to do too, it's just two mics pointed in different directions and recorded on a stereo track. Great for showing the doppler effect.
