As Kenji says - BLT is a tomato sandwich seasoned with bacon. Fully agreed - mayo and seasoned tomatoes are critical. Tbh I think bacon is generally overhyped but a well made BLT is a culinary masterpiece. Top 3 sandwiches, easily.

Honestly it’s not so much the taste of meat that is a no for me it’s the *texture!* I tried a few times over the years but I never could get over that part. I think everyone should eat what they want but personally I just don’t miss meat much in my diet.
Definitely no problem with eating what you like, but being insensitive enough for not caring about the torture that these animals have to go through just so we can overeat is sad.

If that is happening it's likely because the person in question is not getting enough Zinc in their diet, which is found in large quantities in some common meats and seafoods. Zinc intake effects the sensitivity of your taste buds, if you aren't getting enough of it your tastes will just change.

No way, dawg. Baking bacon is the best way. Not only is it more efficient and less time-consuming, bacon gets nice and marinated in its grease w no risk of scorching, AND you don't get your whole house permeated with bacon grease and smoke. It also gives you a more consistent cook amongst all the slices that you can't get from a frying pan on a stove coil/top.

You did it wrong, first off you have to use Applewood smoked bacon it has the best flavor and the best texture, then you want to put a couple bacon slices on a pan and Sizzle it on the stove top, and for the best way to make sure none of the Grease flies out put a lid top of a pot on the pan, if you do it just right it will be the best flavor you'll experience in your entire life.

you needed to salt and pepper the tomatoes, and put mayo on the bread (after it's toasted) so it warms up the mayo and makes it kinda thin and coats the lettuce and tomato and the bacon is just the centerpiece but now the rest of it tastes amazing too
