Looks like heavens entrance ! I've never attempted a landscape. This is just amazing and educational also. Always love when you say " open the heart and let go of the mind ". It makes me feel like my Creator is guiding my hand 😀
Absolutely beautiful! This is so amazing from gray board to filled with sunshine. Can’t wait to see the finished piece. Thank you for another great video.
Another amazing painting, love watch you work and I love your advice to let go of the mind and paint with your heart. It's so essential - I call it getting into the zone and then losing time. The meditative state of painting/drawing helped me trough very rough times in my life - it keeps me sane and centered.
Hi Morticia, thank you so much for taking the time with writing this wonderful feedback. Thrilled you are enjoying my videos, means a lot. Without the connect to my heart I can't create anything, I keep out of the way and just observe the artwork develop. I too find this awareness very calming self nurturing. All the very best with your art journey. 🙏🙏
Another wonderful painting Dave. You mention blending with your fingers. One of the problems I have is that I overblend and create mud. How would you avoid that please?
Hi Adrienne, thank you. It sound like you how overloaded the tooth of the surface with pigment, I build up slowly creating texture as I go. Best to dab the area with a Faber Castel kneadable eraser so to lift off the excess pigment then go over it again lightly usually does the trick. 💕🙏
Excellent technique of mixing on the board....however how do you replace or buy individual pastel pencil after that pencil is finished? Do you buy single colour or again a set?
Pencils seem to give subtle texture which happens with each layer... sticks tend to add too much pigment down which makes it hard to achieve the same. 🙏
Excellent!!!! Thank You!!!! 😮👍😎🙏😁
Thank you ... you are well 🙏🙏
You did an amazing job Dave, it looks like an oil painting!

@@DavePortersArt Thanks Dave, that’s great advice.
Hi amazing techniques, what kind of a card board did you use here?
Hi Hwang... I use Pastelmat board dark grey.... it is magic to work on 😊🙏
@@DavePortersArtthank you! That is great experience to use pastels on boards.
Excellent technique of mixing on the board....however how do you replace or buy individual pastel pencil after that pencil is finished? Do you buy single colour or again a set?
You can buy single pencils online... just Google search the brand and number 😊
Yes, I'm becoming aware of the "Be in the Now"
Makes all the difference Bill for sure 🙏🙏
If you are using large area...why not use the sticks rather than pencil?
Pencils seem to give subtle texture which happens with each layer... sticks tend to add too much pigment down which makes it hard to achieve the same. 🙏
