Nice video! I remember the mountains, they are glasshouse mountains! I also had some fun on the dirt roads in that state forest. I lived in Ipswich for some time before I retreated to Canberra because of the heat. I have good memories there, the mountains, the beaches...
Also, just curious, did you receive a copyright claim regarding the movie part? I think the rules are not quite clear about "fair use". I also love that movie, "beautiful things don't look for attention".
@@lanbolyra Thanks mate, it was a very hot sticky night, I dont think the hammock was the best choice lol. GHM is a great place to camp and plenty of spots if you know where to look. Personally, I prefer the heat than the cold so Brisbane suits me :) No I havent received a copyright claim for the movie clip. i did try to keep it as short as possible to keep within the fair use policy. Thanks for watching. ARB Jason.
Hi there. I suspect your tank vent. Before playing around in your carby try this. Go for a ride on the bike and bring the old acerbis noodle you had with the acerbis tank. When you notice the motor shutting down, tear off the vent. If you can do it while you are riding its better. Then stop and change for the old noodle and see if it happens again. Worth a try before tearing the carby apart. Cheers
Yeah, I suspected it might be something along those lines. Was running great a few days ago. Shall post an update shortly. Thanks for the suggestion mate, ATB Jason 👍
Nicely done mate. I reckon she needs a carby clean. do you drain the float bowl when you store her? It's always tough to get right into it first thing, I need 10 or so min before I'm on it. I almost ate it on the way home my last trip 😅.
Thanks mate 👊 Yeah I'm going to step the carby the weekend and have a good old poke around. It was running great before that trip. It was excessively warm that day. All good fun though ☺️ ATB Jason 👍
Great video jay. I had 1 of those little white pumps. I was charging it in my tank bag and the bloody thing caught fire lol 😂 it’s funny now but not at the time. Ride safe
Blimey mate! Thats the last place you want something to go poof! I've never charged mine yet but you can bet I'll be keeping an eye on it now haha. Thanks for watching. ATB Jason 👍
Cheers for that, I've got one too and no problems so far but will take your advice. They are also good for starting fires with the air from them (not the battery exploding!)
@@TwoTubesADV yeah exactly. You can buy a collapsible tube to use as an extension also, like an old school car aerial, hold it on the little pump outlet and switch her on. Saves burnt eyebrows. Very effective too.
Come on man it’s the middle of summer. Yeah you made a pit and there was some green around but as content creators we need to set the example. Kids don’t go into the bush and light a fire and burn pine cones in the middle of summer. There’s plenty of gas burners on the market to keep the fire contained a little better. Anyway great vid man, pity the bike was miss behaving but all sorted now. Look forward to the next one
I appreciate your content but I took precautions as always when dealing with fire. You could see I cleared a patch, the foliage was wet and the fire was small, contained and only used to cook the steak. Perhaps you missed the parts where I used a small gas burner for hot drinks. Bike issues resolved, the air fuel mixture screw had worked it's way out and dropped into a cavity on the engine bay. Thanks for watching.
I noticed that you kept your choke on the whole time. was that your efforts to keep the bike running? Cause no carbed vehicle will run properly if the choke is on and the engine is warm. It'll run far too rich and starve the engine of air.
Yeah I know but it was the only way the bike would run, was absolutely fine the first part of the journey. Had a look this morning, checked fuel flow, carby, air filter etc and then noticed the air fuel mixture screw lying on a cavity below the carby 😄. Issue resolved 👍

Nice Vid Jason! Love to see you camping with the DR
Thanks mate 👍 The DR is my bike of choice when bush wacking 😜 ATB Jason 👍
Great stuff! It's good to see you out on the old DR again. Fingers crossed, you get that issue sorted. 🍻👍
I'll be spending this weekend trying to sort the old gal on ready for the next adventure 💪 ATB Jason 👍
Looks like a great adventure 🏕️
Cheers 🍻
Thanks mate. The humidity made it pretty uncomfortable but it's always good to get out on the bike for a cheeky overnighter 👍
Living the Dream mate.....making us all jealous 🙂
Wasn't much dreaming that night, so humid 🥵 but nonetheless great to be out motocamping as always. Thanks for watching dude 👍

Good advice. Had a blocked vent myself many years ago and tore my hair out trying to find the problem.

Had the same. Tried riding with tank cap slightly loose to let air in and problem disappeared. Knew it was the vent then.
@@ScottPWhiteheadturned out it was the air fuel mixture screw had unseated itself and fell out 🫣

How far was the closed gate from the main road?
Not far as the crow flies

Where do you get the 3 piece folding mat thing from mate?
That would be either AliExpress or eBay, cheap as chips 👍
