I couldn't catch it live, but as the original donator for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game on GBA, I was worried that the platform got lost in the shuffle of all the donations, so surreal to see the first game I ever owned be played by one of my favorite content creators. Keep up the amazing charity work, Jon and everyone, if you keep putting them on, I'll keep watching.
3:27:12 I will never understand why people seem make moral judgment calls about art just because the artist might have done some NSFW pieces. Who cares, you don't have to like the nsfw stuff, but that shouldn't mean you can't enjoy their other stuff or call them out for something NSFW that they've done
So as the majority donor for GTAV Online, I will admit that it was a something of a gamble, not just because of its playlist loading times but also because I was hoping it would play out with a larger party from the TRG group (like Reese and Josh), similar to Tom’s TRG Minecraft streams or what wound up being normal Golf With Your Friends during Colosseum. I was betting on it winning and being able to pull in most of the Colosseum hosts who were watching/awake and wouldn’t be streaming their own stuff, partly why I was so salty that Cold Stone won with using a different GTA meme thanks to Jerod (though given the tail end of GTA here, I won’t deny that it may have been for the best). That we got Mal to bring the group size up to five was already a pretty big bonus given when this was streamed, but I get why Stephen would think that Raid on Tripoli wouldn’t be as much fun with just five people even though that’s what I primarily donated for. Having said that, I’m glad that they at least had fun with about 2/3rds of the time it was up with a mini podcast towards the end. IMO the best part was before the playlist loaded up because it felt so much like a Stephen & Friends episode featuring Jon. Just all the silly stuff I’ve come to love from Stephen’s, Reese’s, and Tom’s GTA videos and streams (I hope Jon will join them in future episodes, but I get the feeling he might have gotten scared off by Stephen’s BTS story about how much time is spent in loading screens). But yeah, definitely going to stick to the Hitman trilogy as my safe Chaos Cookie request in the future unless they plan around only doing smaller playlists for GTA.
From my experience with GTA online, they encountered the issue where something went wrong with the loading and the game essentially softlocks. I've had it happen from time to time, and the game never once loaded when it happens. I even waited multiple hours on one occasion. The only way out from that loading screen lock is to turn off the game.
1:04:06 The Bladerunner system is Shadowrun. Shadowrun is the game where you can and probably will roll at least 20 D6 at higher levels. It’s fun as hell and I love it, especially 5E.
Holy shit I’d heard of Shadowrun in passing before and when they mention a Blade Runner system that name came to mind. I’m SO GLAD I was right about that!
Oh my god I missed the Jak 2 segment, but I wondered where the Evil talking Jak scene came from! I thought it was the racing game but now I know we had both when I was a kid, but somehow not Jak 1. Our PS2 stopped working a long time ago when I was young, the second one didn’t survive much longer either, so we put those games in storage but my dad probably trashed them at some point.
Gotta say, Tom does really good impressions of the YGO characters (or at least the abridged versions of them XD) ...also Dan, if you think JOEYS hair is crazy...I wish they'd showed Yugi's hair so he could react to that XD
I can’t believe no one took the chance to say “oh yeah, it’s all coming together” when the Ariel VA thing came up Also, I guess Ren is Dave Strider, wielding a broken legendary sword
It's kind of funny hearing all this talk about public bathrooms during the stream since I work as a Sanitation Specialist for an Applebee's, and that includes spraying the bathrooms. We're still doing that, just like we do it for tables after people get up. I don't think that's ever not gonna be a thing, companies are gonna be too paranoid.
Someone please make a video of that mandy portrait photoshopped on the david hasselhoff chest portrait and just have it slowly zooming in playing the slave knight gael theme, it would be so cursed but hilarious
listen yugioh's stories are great and make perfect sense according to their own logic. Usually. Besides, the shark is a very funny shape, and much larger and more monstrous than would be recognizable. But I'm really glad I was able to see you play a ygo game even if it wasn't very good, and to hear someone in the group was versed in ygo lore. Loved watching the vod, listening to the disc only crew while I grind my team's levels in pokemon gold before the e4
X-Com's "displayed accuracy doesn't include the difficulty penalty" problem has cased SO much rage in players. It's not only stupid, it's also bad game design. I am personally pissed off at that, because the game lies to players just so it can get their soldiers killed more often. There was never a need for that, and it's something that the mod community made their mission to correct. You can not only find a variety of mods for X-Com 2 that will boost all soldier's aim, but there is also the option to simply correct the aim % shown on the UI. It feels like mean joke put in by the developers just to fuck with people, and as a game developer/modder, I can say that they went out of their way to make sure the UI flat-out lies to the player. ....Its also become known that the developers of X-Com (the newer ones) aren't exactly amazing at their jobs. There are several flaws in X-Com 2 on its own, and the DLC made them worse. For example, you can alert enemy groups, without any ability to know they're there ahead of time. Even if you can see them, and the game is warning you when you will be triggering their line of sight... I can avoid that, and still somehow alert them. Even in situations where they saw me through a wall, or various angles that don't make any sense. Man... I love X-Com games, but the the troll UI combined with multiple flaws that the dev team never fixed... It's one of those games that I can never play un-modded again. It's like Skyrim, the devs don't give a crap about the problems, they rely on the community to fix it instead.
The phrase "How old is your body" is very accurate sadly, given you can go to war but not smoke or drink. Even at the 'legal age' of 18 in parts of the world many are not ready for an adult commitment. Meanwhile in places where you can be 'legal' younger like Japan I believe has tests to prove one is mentally able? The long and short of it is age isn't a good gate, if you can't drink/smoke something you can't have those relations. Even then 21 still are around that "Lets trash ourselves" suggesting that the legal age should be closer to the 30s. Let this sink in... if you really care about people and their well being and not being taken advantage of sexually you might have to wait till they are 30. But when compared to more tribal environments where we live for less... the young have access to adult things sooner suggesting we might also be delaying growth of kids into adults. We're trying to put a number on a concept rather then judging it case by case... A flawed system with supposedly good intent and one we need to address. Yeah it takes a lot of effort to manage this and check and provide tests for those in the 16-21 age bracket or even up to 30 if we are smart about it and don't just stop at "for the kids" like a bunch of idiots. (When the clock strikes 21 you don't immediately get information beamed into a person, no many adults who don't know stuff are no different then kids.) It is a mess with no simple solution, which is a lot like life. We try to simplify it and in turn we might be damaging stuff we don't realize. The entire point is to keep people safe... yet we are drowning people by throwing them straight into a lake without ever seeing water before at times. Good luck finding a solution for this.
personally I would just give each card a different name like Card 1 Card 2, and then when you make a save on one of them take a sticky note and attach it to the inside of the game box as to which card has the save.
Oh the sweet summer children who don't know the truth of the tonberries in FFXIV... They haven't studied how to be a SCH... And now no one's going to play SCH anymore once Sage drops, except me.
So the thing is, XCOM (at least XCOM 2, anyway) _never_ actually displays a hit chance that is higher than the actual hit chance. On difficulties below Legend, it actually lies _in your favor._ It cheats to your benefit so that the RNG feels better and more fair, because the true random with no safety nets or crutches, which is what Legend runs off of, feels like it's unfair or rigged because the human brain is a weird thing. But there is never a point where the RNG is actually fudging rolls to screw you over. Now, the all-seeing AI cheating to screw you over is an entirely different matter. That sectoid _absolutely_ knows you have a reaper in stealth right there, and it is _absolutely_ going to "happen" to run right next to them so that they just "happen" to get revealed. Nevermind that it has now positioned itself in a spot where it's getting flanked by the rest of your squad.
Why does it feel like when it come to sexual art that you are either trying to destroy it altogether, or fighting to have that not happen and not putting any thought into it beyond just that. Either "Porn good" or "Porn bad" and that's it.
For me Age of Extinction was a total let down, the worst out of the others I've seen. I enjoyed the first one and Dark Side of the Moon, The Last Knight was pretty good to.
A lot of Disney films were good in the 90's, to bad they suck ass at making movies now. Even Pixer is far better than what Disney can achieve nowadays.
Disney's problem now is that they're trying to be "Deconstructive". They still can't get over the fact that Shrek existed, even though the appeal has long since worn off.
I love how most of the stream is just an extended episode of disc only while Jon plays in the background
Jon: I really need to play GTA5 more
GTA5: Softlocks

I too was scared by the gift Mel gave the internet...

Yeah, it's ridiculous how people crusade like this.
"This guy makes Not-Safe-For-Work art."
Well, as long as you're not at work, you're fine, then.
okay but hear me out
as a sister series to the disc only podcast
the sky only podcast
starring emile, masae, jules, and dan
Producer Tom only gets one word to balance?
What about HyperCole, as the auxillary editor/producer
it's nice to see you finally found time in everyone's squeduals to start on the bonus streams
I cannot wait for the second one. Thank you to everyone who made Pokemon Conquest possible! So excited!
I had to go to bed after the first 6 games. Man I can’t believed I missed Yugioh. Such a funny segment thanks to Dan and Tom

@@VitaEmerald324 Yup! I’ve played pen and paper RPGS since I was about 4 years old, starting with GURPS Traveller.

Love that most of The Pirate of Dark Water game focused on Disney sequel talk.

I don’t know what it is but commentary is just significantly better when technical difficulties occur

8 minutes in and Jon's car has crushed Dan. This is gonna be gooooood
Welcome to Sky only Podcast. GTA5 edition
After this Coliseum, I can't help but imagine that sometimes wears the RosaJon outfit on streams for no real reason
Tula definitely made my childhood. In some ways. Right alongside Cheetara. And Allura. And the cat-secretary from Swat Kats. And Demona. And ...
Also I can't tell whose talking, but the Yzma impersonation at 51:04 sounds startlingly like Frieza from Dragonball Z, especially the TFS version.
That fourth picture is of a future boss in the game

You know eventually, their gonna complete Mario + rabbids since everyone votes for it

5:08:49 thank you tom
Am I the only one who saw Jon's GTA character and immediately wondered why he was dressed as Roman Torchwick?

Tom does a good dub Kaiba.
Okay, so when will they come back for the top 11 through 20 games?
If someone challenged me to a card game for the fate of the world, I'd use the opportunity while they are messing with their cards to take them out.
Oh the sweet summer children who don't know the truth of the tonberries in FFXIV... They haven't studied how to be a SCH... And now no one's going to play SCH anymore once Sage drops, except me.
Not a GTA fan, but watching regardless because I enjoy TRG

Ahh, Muramasa for the Wii, also known as "I wish there could be a sequel to this game or that the PS DLC was in the Wii version, because Fuck Sony."

I found Muramasa easier with a Gamecube controller

So if Jerod is mentally 7 years old, is his wife a live-in babysitter?
