I love how he said that while standing exactly in front of the place where you put the flame.
"I've got 4 flames, I don't know what to do with them", as he is literally standing in the exact spot to use them and the prompt to use them is on-screen as he says this.
i had no idea that ostrich on the wheel moved from its place like that, i solved that 4 switch puzzle with the slink and yoyo somehow

I was trying to time that same strat initially, gave up coz it seemed like it wasn't the intended way at all haha
hah, well done. I tried to do that initially but never got it to work and thus moved on to the left. To be honest I didn't think it was actually something you could do. :D

I started looking at these streams after my friend showed curiosity for this game. Funnily both them and Vinny really remarked about the surprisingly small file size.

every time a new metriodvania comes out i get reminded that some people get really tilted by less than optimal gameplay. close the tab and play the game yourself

Im glad the mods do their best to clear spoilers during chat, since games like these you’ll need to discover shit on their own which is part of the gameplay. Not for everyone but I understand how satisfying it is once you put two and two together.
Or better yet, seek therapy. That's some bad, ableist impatience that's not gonna get fixed by temporarily satiating it with your own gameplay.
as amazing as this game is, no way in hell will vin spend any amount of time finding any secret once he "finishes" the game, we will not see him 101% the game

Tbf a lot of the post credits is a wikigame. I did it all and I think my opinion of the game went down instead of up.

Chameleon took me a while to figure out as well. Don't forget there is usually fruit near most save points to get you from 3 to 4 health!

The bubble strat REALLY fucked up how vinny plays this game.
All it took was one random chat member saying "Vinny you can jump off from one bubble to the next". MODS, ANNIHILATE THAT GUY
What strat? It's like a basic mechanic. If you can figure out to stand on a bubble, you sure as hell can figure out to jump off of it. And if you're doing that, you're almost certainly going to try making a second bubble after. It's incredibly intuitive, and I find it hard to believe anybody wouldn't figure it out damn near instantly.
I don't get why you people act like it's some sort of obscure, secret, technique that unlocks the true ending or some shit. Fuck me, this game's fanbase is already worse than Undertale's was back in the day.
@@BuckBuckle It's a basic mechanic but it's not needed for 95% of the game os you don't need to use it until the end game bits (and you get an item that makes this way easier at some point anyway so it's barely worth learning ahead of time). The problem is that old "give a man a hammer and everything becomes a nail" proverb, it's a useful tool yes but it's not the only one and many people will spend far too long futzing about with this technique as opposed to using the actual items the game gives

Dunkey did an amazing job promoting it. The game is fun and cool and unique, but 2D Indie-vanias don’t usually do this well.
Well I mean the first step in doing well is "don't suck" and this game was good at doing that.
He's a big UA-camr. I'm not sure how he could promote it badly unless he just started shit-talking it for 4 hours on stream not realizing what he was supposed to do, and even then I'd say it'd be a net positive for an unknown game. There's really no way for a big influencer to badly promote an obscure title.

Great game but that dog shrine quest made me lose interest in the game, shame because I really enjoyed the game so far.
If that one was too hard to figure out then you likely dodged several bullets by stopping there.
There's a lot more puzzles and they only get more cryptic, It's not a game for everyone.

@@LilMonkeh That's fair, If you do ever reattempt I highly recommend you plot out a route using the pencil tool you get early on.
I thought this was going to be one of those basic as fuck plats but this really earned a spot, mostly since all animals are equally in the game and not only dumb cats.

I didn't learn the bubble jumping technique until like 10 hours into this game, that being said I feel bad for Vinny, some people blame chat for teaching him techniques that prohibit him from learning, I blame chat for being rude and not letting him experiment.
This game is a sandbox, not everyone is going to learn just as quickly AND the puzzles are modular and most are designed to be completed in any order. Any hope I had in chat dissolved with this series, we truly never learned from Undertale.
you are so impatient that it takes you 10x longer to figure things out than it should. pleeeease. consider taking even just 5 solid seconds to look around and think more often. it will help not just you but your audience as well.
