Just what I needed! many thanks! stripped an old magazine that had the spring sticking out the back so wanted to trim. was confused how much tension to give it.
Excellent Sir lots of people are frightened to death to strip these types of Magazines, You have proved by doing this video it is nothing to worry about if you are Careful, Many thanks ;)
Hi, looks easy but I cannot get the screw out! Seems to be 1.5 ml or 5/64 on a old 1980s or 90s 12 x .22. If I drill it out, can I buy a replacement screw? I have to dismantle it unless you can advise any trick- the hole seems misaligned somehow, so after 1 shot the ram is going up against plastic rather than the next bullet.
Hi, I wouldn't drill it out it will damage the case. Spray it with wd40 and leave it a while and then try again with the allen key. If that fails you could always try glueing something to the screw to give you more leverage. Good luck
Thanks for your comment. Some mags work perfectly well for years, but if you have a mag spring break or if you change pellet weight then it can cause the mag to not index correctly. This video was just to show people how to strip and fix things if they need to. Not really sure how that is stupid? But I am glad yours still 'grops' 'grate' Happy shooting!

I have a Dr Bob 12 shot magazine, is it the same to put it together after cleaning ?
Paul Lascelles so far as I’m aware yes.
Dr Bobs seem to use a different stop mechanism but the rest appears the same
