SOVA-VUSD Middle School Water Polo 2024 - Year 2

This is the second year of the partnership (2023 & 2024) between South Valley Aquatics (SOVA) and Visalia Unified School District. SOVA operates the SOVA Swim Club (USA Swimming) and the SOVA-Visalia Water Polo Academy (USA Water Polo). Visalia Unified School District has demonstrated great leadership by partnering with SOVA to expand the connection between middle school students and their community by increasing sports offerings to include water polo for middle school. SOVA uses existing partnerships with 5-time US Water Polo Olympian, Tony Azevedo, and his 6-8 Sports organization to develop an effective and successful eight-week water polo program that offers skills assessment, skills development, game tactics and strategies, scrimmages, and live, inter-district water polo competition with other middle school boys and girls water polo teams.
