Thank you!! I bought a pre-certified Mazda, and on the way home sitting at an intersection somebody ran up and pulled open my door. I didn't even realize that I had to enable the autolock feature, nor did I notice the doors were unlocked because I was so excited to have my new car. Stay alert everybody and be safe!
Thank you for this video! I’ve had my Mazda 3 iSport 2015 for nearly 8 years and I just found out I can do this through the infotainment system after watching your video!
Thank you so much. I didn't find the off option until you demonstrated it. I hadn't scrolled down. I need it to be off as I had a frightening experience when my husband tried to get in the car quickly and was unable to do so because we couldn't get the doors unlock quickly enough.
Nice video. I would have also liked to see some "walk away" option. That to me would have been more useful than an in drive mode. I guess that's only on certain models?
How do you lock the doors when the car is running? IE: Its -25C, I get to my driveway to start the car and go back inside my home for a moment, you cannot lock the car. Please dont tell me it is so you dont lock your keys inside, the car knows when the key are inside or outside. This is very frustrating, a very big fail from Mazda.
The only way, which is not practical at all is to rool downw your window, open the door, get out, close the door, reach inside to lock the doors, roll up the window and there, you got it. NOT PRACTICAL MAZDA! The worse is having to pull the key out of the fob to be able to unlock the damn door because for whatever reason, the fob doesnt unlocked the doors while the car is running... MAZADA' I am soooooooooo disapointed....
I am not seeing the auto lock option in my infotainment. My doors auto lock if I am out the vehicle and walk off but they do not auto lock when I start driving. I dont know what to do..they also dont open automatically when I manually lock them and stop driving
So to stop car from locking as we exit car and shut door, just have to turn system off ? I fear locking my purse or a kid in car, it locks within 2 sec of shutting door and Id rather lock it myself when exiting car.
Hi, I am searching for this option in my Mazda3, 2016 model SP-25-GT, but I do not see such options... could you pls let me know what is the OS version of MZD connect system. Thanks.
I have mazda 6 , i cant lock the door while the car running , like if you park for a shop you want get something quikly you dont want to turn the car off for just 1 min and start it again
My recently bought model 2020 cx9 doest have this feature in the infotainment system and it does not have the lock unlock switch in the door as well .. the car doesnt locks itself when I drive .. dont know now what to do and how to change the settings ..
My Mazda is jacked up. Locks works sometimes, and not other times. I'm so over it. Sometimes it won't even crank until I get out, shut the door and then get back in. Constantly having to use the actual "key" option to lock and unlock. I hate this!!!
I'm actually not sure. I'd think it should be in your Infotainment centre. However, having said that, each country has it's own minor differences in the vehicles. Since I'm located in Canada and these vehicle tutorials are done in vehicles in Canada, they may have the odd feature your vehicle might not. I'd recommend taking it in to your nearest Mazda dealer, or contacting your salesperson, and checking with them if they have that feature. Even much older Mazda's do have that feature, so I'd be surprised if yours does not. Thanks for your question I hope you find an answer!
You do realize if you approach the "trunk" (we call them boot's in Australia) with the key in your pocket, it will always open for you, right?. The boot has a built in proximity sensor that can read the key on you and will automatically unlock the boot even though the car is locked. If you walk up to the boot with the vehicle locked and WITHOUT the key in your pocket, voila the boot is locked. If this is not the case, then I would recommend taking it to your local Mazda dealer for further inspection.
Is she driving mazda cx3 or what? Because my dashboard only had the km numbers not the little mph numbers and why the hell is my fuel symbol have 0 - 1 instead of the E - and F?!
I have a 2010 Mazda6 and the doors autolock after being left alone for seconds. This is not 'feature', it is an almighty pain in the ass. I would much appreciate someone sharing any knowledge about fixing that.
If you touch the unlock button and DONT open any doors, the doors will re lock by themselves. All you need to do to interrupt this feature is open and close a door and it wont re-lock.
OFF…..is the safest mode…..doors stay locked until you pull the door handle on either front door to unlock and open the door…otherwise, anybody can open the Drivers/passenger door from the outside and jump in. Dangerous.

I have mazda 6 , i cant lock the door while the car running , like if you park for a shop you want get something quikly you dont want to turn the car off for just 1 min and start it again
You have to take the metal key out of the remote and then lock it manually

My automatic door lock mode doesnt work when I am driving. I am not seeing the options on the screen. I dont know what to do.
For gen2 with the proxy lock system, it comes disabled from the factory. If your car is 2011 - 2013 the dealer has to activate it.
Try forscan software and adapter

Desde Chile le digo que mi Mazda 3 2017 no trae esa opción.
Solo tiene la opción de cierre automático al alejarme del vehículo
But the settings are not available on CX 3 2019

I have a 2017 Mazda 3 Touring and I can not figure out how to lock the trunk

You need to lock when leaving it’d be much nicer and safer
