The Rangers are not 1-9 in Heaneys starts because of Heaney. They give that man zero run support. I've watched every pitch this season and Heaney has been solid outside of 2 shaky starts. Im not even a fan of heaney, but he has not deserved his stat line.

Bo to the Dodgers makes most sense
I don't see the Braves trading any of their top pitching prospects. Even though the starters have been good this year, Strider is hurt, Fried will be a free agent, Sale is injury prone, Lopez is stretching out from reliever to starter, Morton is 40. They have to keep all the pitching depth they can. If I was to guess they make small trades to get platoon guys like they did in 2021.
I think the Braves are only interested in making trades that have long term value. They're in it every year and just won the series a few years ago. They don't need to throw all their chips in for 2024. Bichette and Kiermaier would 1000% be rentals. No way they'd do that.

@waylonmercy1533 I'll clarify. I do think they can add rentals, just not big contract, give away a lot of capitol type trades for short term success. I'm saying any significant trade is probably a long term move, not a short term one. Bichette is better than Arcia, but statistically I can't say Bichette has been better than Arcia this year...So it doesn't make a lot of sense to add 11.2 mil/year for 2 more years when you pay Arcia 2.3 over that span. Duvall wasn't a 2021 rental and my point is they just won the series a few years ago...Its not a deplete the depleted farm system / now is our chance to win one mindset right now. The window is still too open to make that kind of move because their core is locked up for awhile. Especially when that money would be better spent on trying to re sign Fried in the off season. Plus, even with losing Acuna, they don't need another middle of the order bat. They need pitching.
as a white sox fan the one thing i have an issue with is this being centered around a starting pitcher and not Aidan Miller. The White Sox have Noah Schultz, Drew Thorpe, Ky Bush, Mason Adams, and Jairo Iriarte right now in the minors who are all pitching very very well. I think the sox want a Bat in return.
Johan Rojas can definitely be better give it time
But this is our best year to win it all, we need to go all-in

Not feeling that Astros trade. The Astros do want to make the playoffs, but they need pitching more than bats, and sure it would seem nice to get Arozarena for a playoff appearance, but what this franchise needs to deal with first is Kyle Tucker, and then see if they could fit his price tag in the mix. Kyle Tucker is a priority before or even when the season ends, and then I think that the Astros can look at trading for other players.
The thing about the astros trade is that the astros are already loaded with outfielders, so I don't see them trading for a struggling OFer in Arozarena when they already have Chas (who might get hot soon), Jake and King Tuck, as well as Loperfido and Pedro Leon who are raking in the minors, plus they have Dubon also.
Bichette to the dodgers. Jackson Ferris, Landon Knack, Gavin Lux, Kendal George, Tony Gonsolin who is hurt but will be back in 2025 and is under team control for Bo Bichette, Yimi Garcia
Dodgers won't give up that much unless maybe Bo Bichette signs a Long term Extension like Glasnow did!

@@jeremyhopwood5822In this trade package the dodgers aren’t giving up too much to be honest. Only one that would hurt is Jackson Ferris because his potential is great. But the other pieces in the deal outside of Ferris are solid but not high upside.

Isn’t Kiermaier a CF? Can he play the corner positions? Now, where the Braves play Bo Bichette? No room on the infield and I think he'd be a liability in the outfield. Certainly the Braves could use his offense but Ozuna is a more than capable DH.

As a phillies fan , I don't think they need Robert. He can't stay healthy. All the phillies need is a bullpen arm that isn't mason miller
@@stevengarrison1019 definitely could use an affordable bullpen arm. Maybe like a Scorr, Kittredge, or Kopech. I do feel like bringing in a LF would really help. Have Marsh continue to platoon in CF or LF.
Arcia is doing just fine at SS for the Braves. We need another outfielder and a starting pitcher though.
Tyler O'Neal to the Phillies
The braves should go for a temporary outfielder that could turn into a platoon player like how they did in 2021 but also they could benefit from getting an 5th starter if spencer schwelenbach doesn’t work out for them, maybe paul blackburn or zach efflin.

As a Rays fan I'm completely ready for the Rays to sell at the deadline and quite frankly I'm excited to see what we do.
Braves should or could make a trade for Mets sp jose quintana an rf Marte or try to get Eddie Rosario back from Nats or make a big slash and grab Ian Happ from the cubs lastly, get the A's Ruiz, move Harris to right we need a leadoff hitter with high on base potential +speed.

As a White Sox fan I'd prefer not to lose Robert but on the other hand, dude gets hurt a lot. Same with Jimenez and Moncada. Might be worth it if they get value. The Bichette deal makes zero sense. The guys going back to the Jays are not that good. I thought you were a Jays fan Jim! Bichette to the Dodgers makes much more sense and the return would be better. I think the most likely deal to happen would be Luzardo to the Rangers unless they fade even more.
As much as Randy Arozarena being on the astros sounds fun it doesnt really make sense. Yes its obvious Yordan isnt the best OF option in Left, the Astros dont really need anymore Outfielders with Yordan, Myers, Tucker, McCormick, Dubón, and potentially Loperfido if they dont put him at 1st base when they eventually call him back up to the Majors.

I don’t think the Braves make that trade. SS is not a positional need for the Braves. Plus AA has made a concerted effort to build up the Braves pitching in the farm. That depth at pitching is needed now more than ever with Strider out and the likelihood Fried will walk

I’ve been saying it since the off season I want the Cubs to trade for Alonso. They have the prospects to deal and they need a 30+ homerun hitter badly.

@@stevengarrison1019 that’s partially why I want them to trade for him. If he likes playing for the Cubs there’s a chance even with Boras as his agent that he’d sign with them in FA even if he doesn’t get the highest offer from them.
Phillies should go after Jo Adell, not Robert! Or bring up Abel & Crawford.
Would prefer to trade for Taylor Ward. Adell is just too unproven
@@brandenp1187 Adell plays for the Angels & I think if he was with a better clubhouse & trainers, he could be better here than there. His age is also an asset. Ward could be better if Crawford and/or Miller are ready to replace him in the next season or two? But I definitely see what you mean
What the hell is wrong with Lindor? I saw him strike out looking. The problem was he didn't even get into his batting stance. He didn't try. Resign Alonso, and trade Lindor.

If they aren’t a good bat then it’s pointless because Duvall and Kelenic are both great. It would take a good bat to make it worth subbing out Duvall or Kelenic every few games or whatever

Jim, I like your vids, I really do, and often times you bring up intriguing mock trades. But, Arozarena to the Astros? That trade makes no sense, the astros are loaded with outfielders as it is, Jake Meyers has elite defense in CF and is batting .300 or close to it, and has a pretty good OPS. He's finally becoming the player they were hoping to get out of him, which he was before he got injured in the 2021 playoffs I guess. Then you have Chas McCormick, who has gotten off to a very slow start I guess, but if he can get going, he was a top 3 CF (offensively anyways) in baseball last year. Then they still have the Loperfido rookie who was batting .300 and had like a .388 OBP before being optioned, and was only optioned to make room for the returning Jose Abreu. Then they have Pedro Leon who is raking in AAA, and all this before even mentioning King Tuck. I'm sorry but I just don't see the astros trading for a struggling OFer in Arozarena when they are already pretty loaded already in that dept, there are other needs the team needs to adress, like upgrading at 1B.
I would love a healthy Luis Robert in sf , just never healthy
