It's remarkable how those evolving Tangerine Dream-style bass grooves that I used to think were quite complicated are actually fairly simple. By programming in a few subtle changes to a simple pattern, I could get lost in a groove like this for hours!

Nice one Luke but don't forget Sorceror! Many thanks for sharing your knowledge, I've been slowly learning the Berlin School vibe so I can use it as a basis for further exploration, and you're really helping me. I could listen to that riff for hours... maybe due to me discovering Encore Live in my formative years, which I've never gotten bored with. Cheers, and please keep it up :)

Been a Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulz, J M Jarre fan for decades but never quite able to replicate the Berlin School style but your videos make it possible! Thank you so much.
Regarding transpositions, a common technique which I find very effective is to move a whole piece in steps of minor thirds (3 semitones).

i saw this in a previous vid and am confused; where do you find the scale setup in the clip view (or any view, for that matter), because i can't find it anywhere - i've had to write out the full scale each time, highlight it, hit the back arrow before inputting my notes, and do that for every single clip... please help [edit: forgot to mention i'm using v10.0.1]
