This was actually the first capture card I bought. And it was great! Never had a problem with it. I upgraded once I got serious but its a good starter card.
Anyome looking into this capture card, I've had mine for around a year or two now, and it works alright, but its not true 1080, my PS5 freezes the capture card in OBS if I have it set to 1080p or higher, I have to set the PS5 itself to 720p and then it'll record fine. Colors aren't great but aren't terrible, overall for $30 it works well, but just keep the things I mentioned in mind before ordering
Will the recording be 1080p? I have mine set to 1080p on ps5 and streamlabs but my preview is nice and HD but when I record and watch it back it doesn’t look like the preview? (HD)
No guys please don't get the $30 one. Different manufactures make this product so not only is it not reliable, its also a hit or miss and the recording is not true 1080p from my experience. There are plenty of alternatives that can allow you to get the Elgato without breaking the bank.
@dj5thlight start by considering what kind of content you are wanting to present to your audience. Is it a must that you get the upmost clarity like an elgato even though it can run up to $200 USD? Or can you get by with just a 1080p capture card? As well, if you play your content on 4K, HDR, 1080p 60fps, and want the same upload quality - or all of these and want to deliver that same quality, you will have to look at price points starting from *at least* $70 USD to get the most out of your transaction. Be prepared to experiment. Your first purchase may not be your most satisfied one. I had to really play with capture cards before I settled on an Elgato, which after buying I see why the $200 price point is justified. Hope this helps!

Hey bud. Just got my first ever capture card and pretty sure it’s this one. Sometimes works fine but most of the time I’m echoing bad on stream…. Any chance you can reach out and run through my settings for me possibly to help me out. Thanks brotha
Best thing about this card compared to the elgato is that it works with running a separate video software. Obs doesn't pick the el Gato up unless you run the video software along with it. Total resource hog!
Run an HDMI from your console into the "in" port on the card. Run a second HDMI from the "out" port to your TV. Run a USB 3.0 from the card to your computer, and fire up OBS software. Go to video input, and you should see "USB device". Give it a second, and your game will show up on screen. Just run a few test recordings to make sure your video and especially your audio is good.
@@shoemic The card has two HDMI ports, one labeled "in", the other labeled "out". Plug an HDMI cable into your console, then into the "in" port on the card.
