They updated after hurricane Andrew, idk why you brought up politics. Helene swept through multiple states including blue ones lol also these hurricanes have been occurring forever. Climate change is a factor but not the causation, plus you all focus too much on average peoples carbon emissions when there’s big corporations with factories all over the world and forgot about the deforestation of the Amazon which directly affects our weather

Genuinely you're not wrong. I carry a bag with me everyday that has basically everything from my house that I need to start a new life other than my pets and I own my house. But beds, TVs, couches all the rest can easily be replaced.. if we don't get the climate under control this who just keep repeating.. A big part of why I'll have a fridge, but you'll never see me buy a fridge that's got an LCD TV on it because if something happens to it I'd be tight and out of extra money

So much of this suffering and property loss can be avoided going forward by rebuilding much stronger and with strict elevation rules for houses. It is responsibility of state and local government to prevent rebuilding at ground level. Hurricane IKE hit parts of Galveston's west beach with a 14 foot storm surge. This surge is not survivable in a ground level house. Many victims along the coast were never found. Entire towns were wiped off the map. This storm (Milton) should begin the process of rebuilding the correct way with the help of government assistance. We lost our property during IKE but we did not lose our lives. The government bought the land under our destroyed houses so vulnerable homes could never be rebuilt there again.
He is married to a DeBartlo, I think it is the daughter of Eddie Jr. Who owns or has owned the SF 49ers. JS, someone in the family is able to make a sizable donation to help!
That's not there job. Tell the government to use the money they gave them in taxes. When things like this happen people shouldn't have to ask other people to help that should be the whole entire point of the government that and making sure somebody else doesn't blow us up.
Honest question: Is it true that insurers will not insure these areas because of the regular occurrence of weather like this? I am sad for this tragedy.

Tbh, this was probably the best case scenario. The fact the cyclone traveled south of Tampa meant the wind pushed the water AWAY from the coast.
