I can't believe that I forgot to talk about the ritual orgies that the Berians partook in, or the gladiator battles that the ruling class used to subjugate the commonfolk... Ahh oh well, if you want to know about that I did talk about it in my Beginner's Seed and Fruit Guide video, I linked it in the description.
Ouja is, or used to be, a Shamansal. Her "escape pod" is a shamansal stasis bed, complete with the room for the body with the exact same shape, and a large round metal frame behind it. There's a shamansal in each area, except for Entrance -- because Ouja is the shaman of that area. The 8th broken status indicator in Entrance is broken in the same pattern as Ouja's stasis bed. This is in addition to the other circumstancial evidence alluded to in the reddit post, i.e. how the Extractor attaches itself to Ouja, how Wallet likely broke Ouja's pod at the start before being killed by Vasa, as well as the authority to operate and connect the Living Network.
I 99% sure this is the First Ever and at the moment the Only One video talking about Ultros lore on all of youtube. So many thanks for explaining. And the art piece you drew for background is also great by the way.
Thanks! I know, I get that the game is unique and esoteric but I thought it would get a lot more attention than it has. Perhaps it will gain a cult following, the vision behind it is so strong
@@phantomleaves Ultros probably could become ''the next Hollow Knight'' with how good it is. Kinda surprised me that there no ''Can you beat Ultros without planting plants'' type of videos on youtube yet.
Yeah it’s definitely the most unique of the metroidvania genre that I have played, with how it blends the gardening and extractor tools to fill the “metroidvania ability” roles. Obviously I find the lore and setting fascinating. I even bought the art book and soundtrack vinyl haha
Great video! Thanks for making this deep dive, the way the game is built really makes you want to understand more of what's going on, and this is the only video I've found that lets me do just that.
Great vid, great channel name. Intrigued by further videos on the topic and hopin 'you continue to dig at the concepts this game seems to be leading you towards. Not sure if a 2nd channel is needed, but I can understand how one might like to compartmentalise.
I think there is more than enough things in game to talk about, it’s more a matter of narrowing it down into more bite-sized investigations. Is there something in particular that you are interested in?

I'm glad to see this game finally getting some attention, I absolutely love it.

Wonderful job, Phantom. Thank you for clarifying some points that were not clear to me.

Thank you for watching! I love the world they crafted for this game
