I was bitten by a spider when I was in my 30's (I'm now 65). I was unaware of it, but I noticed a dark line growing from my right hand up to my chest through my veins. A friend saw it and suggested I should go to an emergency room. I did, and I found that if that dark line had reached my heart it would have killed me. They also told me that it was most likely a Brown Russet spider. Butter on popcorn is delicious.
I saw this in theaters as a kid and at some point I took my feet off the floor and didn't put them back down until the movie was over, this was like Jaws but for spiders.

Top 10 creature features for sure. I think having Spielberg producing kept it from being a cheesy made for television monster movie of the week. John Goodman totally steals the show, as always, and he's only in it for a total of like three or four minutes.
So,I guess I shouldn’t recommend the movie Kingdom of the Spiders for Lucy to watch, and I assume she will not be first in line to see the remake of Arachnophobia that James Wan is supposedly(for some ungodly reason) is planning on making. Seriously, though, now that I understand that Lucy likes gore, let me recommend that she watch Planet Terror,Dead/Alive(which outside of the U.S. where I’m from is called Brain Dead. Not to be confused with another movie, this one from the 80s,also called Brain Dead),and Psycho Goreman,a one-of-a-kind horror comedy.
16:45 Hmm. 🤔 Google translate says English "christen" is Portuguese "batizar". It also says Portuguese "batizar" is English "baptize". 😄 So, does Portuguese use the one word for both events? Typically, here in the U.S., christening and baptism are distinct and separate acts; christening being a dedication & naming, and baptism being submersion under water. Aside from religious christening of infants/small children, all sorts of inanimate objects get christened; such as boats (or it could be any vessel), houses, landmarks, etc. If anyone ever referred to baptizing such things, it might sound peculiar and would probably have been said with a bit of humorous undertone.
As far as my knowledge goes yes, both examples you give are under the same verb "batizar". But there might exist another word, but if it does it really is not used at all in current speech. Of course our brothers in Brazil or portuguese speaking countries in Africa might have a different word for those examples, that I do not know.
Sorry you didn't like the movie, but I loved your reaction. I don't take pleasure in another person's discomfort, but you both reacted so well. I appreciate your courage and willingness to watch this and post the reaction. Thanks.

Fear of a spider-animal is one thing. Fear of LOTSA spiders is a whole other thing-!! And this film is even more wicked - it often placed the camera at spider-only point-of-views. Under the door... along the floor... edge of door-frame...
GREAT REACTION, too, and an excellent 'evaluation': "I didn't like it at all" but like a lot of us, 'expecting even worse' helped a bit. @@johnnygood4831 I can imagine the stress every time 😬
@@ptthatswhatshesaid yup. And I have mild arachnophobia.
Fear of a spider-animal is one thing. Fear of LOTSA spiders is a whole other thing-!! And this film is even more wicked - it often placed the camera at spider-only point-of-views. Under the door... along the floor... edge of door-frame...
I wonder if these two have seen THE MARTIAN, where this doctor has fled even San Francisco into Houston's NASA HQ?
GREAT REACTION, too, and an excellent 'evaluation': "I didn't like it at all" but like a lot of us, 'expecting even worse' helped a bit. I saw this is a packed theater and people were jumping and flinching, screaming and shouting, "What was THAT?!!" Some people would leap up and swat that their ankles, or shoulders or slap their arms.
Yes, very good directing, used all the tricks to make us unease! 😅
We saw the Martina actually yeah! One of our first reaction videos, Jeff Daniels wanted to find an environment completely spider free xD but still he remained on Earth so... always a risk
Congratulations. I was married to a big, brown-eyed beauty for almost fifty years. Let me tell you brother, you'll never be bored!
Thank you very much ☺️
12-30= Suffocation death.. .
the small ones are really the worse, almost all the most venomous are tiny ones.
😬😬😬 and we can't even see them coming a lot of times ...
@@ptthatswhatshesaid yeah
This is such a lovely film for all the family to see!!!! May I suggest a Japanese anime film for the both of you called....Your name. It is considered a truly beautiful masterpiece of a film as you both will see why okay ❤😆😅🤣😂🎉
It is on the poll at this precise moment! 😋 if it gets picked it will be a first for both of us
Spiders are like house cats, they hunt all the other bugs. 👍
That is quite true. Very useful and they kill mosquitos 👌🏻
But cats are cute though... 😅😅😅
Oh to be there the next time they find a spider
Its always funny 😅 and terrifying
But basically she just comes running for me to take care of it, while begging for me not to kill it
Americans use butter like the Portuguese use olive oil. Btw Portuguese Olive oil and olives are superior to any other county.
In cooking yeah, for sure we use olive oil much more (although we also use butter a lot of times). But for popcorn neither. Popcorn needs to be sweet 😝 (ok, some people like it salty its true.. 🙄)
We do have some good olive oil and olives, luckily I have some family that produces it 😌🥳
Anime? ... the top quality classic is Spirited Away.
Yeah! I put that one up on the poll!
So . . . have you seen the "Indiana Jones" movies? No reason. They're just really popular.
Hey! Yeah, we reacted to all of them last year 😋
😂
this movie is truly horrific and always makes me jump and cringe, so well made. we understand your scares that shit is creepy and gross af : D
Very, very efficient movie! 😅
Sooooo...Close encounters next? 😁
That would also a first for both of us :p never seen that one
You guys should watch Infested.
I thought you guys did great 👍
that looks terrifying...
thank you 😋
I kill every spider I see ever since i watched this movie. 😂
For me honestly they have like a 50% chance of surviving, a lot of times I just don't want to go near them 😅
Shouldn't it be "Fiancee watches" instead of "Girlfriend watches"? Just saying.
Congratulation by the way.
Thank you!
You are not incorrect of course 😅 but in this specific case I think I while keep calling these girlfriend reacts. At least until we tie the knot xD then I will name them wife reacts.
Reason is very practical and boring: the word girlfriend has more traction than fiancee. At least I've never seen a video titled like that 🤷🏻♂️
Buuuut yes, it should be called fiancee watches or reacts 😜
Lucy is so brave. I wouldn't choose to watch "Arachnophobia" either, because it sounds like a gross, disgusting movie just like the bug.
Luckily she was not that pissed with me afterwards 🫡 the movie is quite entertaining and funny as well xD
congratulations on surviving arachnophobia :) next Spider Man 😅
Ahahah that would be so much easier for her, she loves Spider Man! 😂😂😋
You should watch AKIRA, it’s a SciFi Anime from the late 80s..
Yes, heard that one is quite good, almost made the poll! Maybe in the next one
Ughhh
Please no anime 😔
Check out Anaconda 🐍
Ahahah we have to try new things! None of us are very familiar with anime, need to at least give it a shot 😅
Anaconda is a nice monster movie, she might like it yeah! Although she loves snakes, so she won't freak out as much 😂
Thank you.
I am not suggesting that you watch the movie "Eight Legged Freaks" (2002), that would be cruel, however if you ever want to torture each other again it would be a good choice.
Noted! 😬😬😬
Yeeeah 🙄 this is good movie but I have to skip this reactions. Watchedcthis once and it was enough... summer time, big spiders... no thanks . See you guys next time.
😂😂😂 I get it, thank you for stoping by though!!
After watching Eight Legged Freaks I though, hell with it, I watch this reaction 😕 yes, this was as horrifying as I remembered. Loved your reactions, no way though I am going to rewatch whole movie ever, these clips were more than I could handle.
@@DVDhoarder ahahah I get it (I had to edit this reaction...)
Sorry for your suffering 😬
Lucy, baby girl.... you are going to find that your going to be screaming a lot during this movie 🎥!! & Jumping too!! 😱 😱
Yop, she sure did both!
Im with you about the butter in popcorn. Gross.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Hey I can't stand spiders I've been bitten 8 different damn times 😂😂😂this movie is awesome 👏 and yalls reactions even better. Keep up the terrific work 👌 👏 👍 😀
Thanks a lot! ☺️
This movie was very effective let's say xD
Congrats on the engagement!
thank you so much! ☺️
