An interesting point that Haviv Rettig Gur of Times of Israel (who could be good guest on this podcast!) made about Sykes-Picot is something along the lines of "it's easy to lay blame on Sykes-Picot for messing up the Middle East, but in the many decades since the French and the British left, there hasn't been any attempt by the Arab powers to redraw the map."
I was saddened to hear about the boycott that the synagogue did on Yoav Galant. he is the son of Holocaust survivors. A man who served, risked and devoted his entire life to protecting the people of Israel and Jews. He dedicated his whole life to save others. And now after all his contribution people are turning their backs on him because of antisemitic press and coverage while our Jewish brothers and sisters should know better than that. 2000 years of disloyalty and turning our backs on each other that just never ends. He does not deserve this treatment.
Thanks for another great pop culture reference from Yonit! May your cats never be smelly cats!
