His fall from grace arc was so tragic and dark yet makes so much sense given what we’d come to learn about his personality. Stripped of his ability to control his environment left Griffith scrambling for survival in the form of any control he could find. His ambition and ego was the death of him, ultimately outweighing what ever humanistic qualities and empathy he possessed, and when those were stripped completely we saw a raw, living embodiment of griffith’s greed, ambition, ego and desperation for power. It’s just incredible, I could go on way more about it. The fact that he wasn’t all evil, that though narcissistic and manipulative he still was shown having moments of genuine empathy, emotion, and care for others. But his harmful tendencies and drives that he relied on like gospel to the point of obsession, that had become necessary for survival to him, ended up consuming him. That’s what’s most tragic, is that he was human as much as he was a bad person. He’s like a cautionary tale. It’s amazingly psychological & complex writing and characterization ugh.

I would have never thought that a manga series out of all things would play such a big role in my life. 2 years ago, I stumbled upon this video and I learned more about Berserk, and I decided to start reading it online. I even decided to start lifting weights because of Guts. Now, I have all 13 deluxe editions because I had to have these books on my shelf. What a wonderful work of art.
watching the 1997 anime first and then switching to manga is the best option for struggling manga readers I think. This anime was amazing and it definitely left you craving the truth. Cada autor intervino para crear un joker que se diferenciara del anterior. Dejó de ser un personaje y pasó a ser una idea, una plantilla y sus apariciones meras interpretaciones.
Griffith o Johan salieron de la mente de una única persona, Kentaro Miura y Naoki Urasawa. Tienen una identidad única y eso los hace más verosímiles que cualquier villano de comic (que existe en diversos universos)

I listened to this song while watching a top 20 manga video. Berserk was on number 1. Since then I have associated this song with Berserk. Finally started it and finished the golden age and during the Eclipse this song was playing in my head. Absolutely spine chilling!
