@Samwisegamgee The Brave its 2 letters. You're on UA-cam worrying about 2 letters in a comment on a video you have nothing to do with. Is it really worth the time and energy just to call someone you will never meet or talk to again that they are an idiot? Wow.

Thankful to have started organic growing. Synthetic can stick it! Seriously though I’m grateful to have taken this route without any understanding. I’m a complete newb & I’m very happy to learn something everyday.
So. Everyone. Post up on Craigslist and ask for peoples used indoor pro mix or coco. Literally one of the cheapest ways to build an outdoor garden bed. Double or triple dig that stuff in, and water in compost teas every weak. You can turn glacial clay to humus in 3 years.
Thank you so much for posting this! Pretty good production quality. It’s free so can’t complain but it would be nice to have visuals on screen for longer. Other than that, it was great!
I love this sir! I will help spread the knowledge this truth! i just started my 2nd grow , using only organic amendments or the organic fish fertilizer, my 1st grow was using just soil i made i up and some bottled nutrients.. made me not want to grow anymore, but creating this organic soil is amazing and nothing like it
Fantastic video. I know its going to be a dickish thing to say but it sux when you find the videos where the guy explaining growing techniques is way too stoned (or just a burn-out) to explain what it actually going on (when it sounds like they took 2 bars of xanex before they started the video). But when you find a video like this one, with Jeff Lowenfels, it is a "breath of fresh air" not listening to a burnout explaining ways to grow cannabis.
At 48:00 what "Chemicals" are he referring to? .... is he talking about any old soluble npk? As in like just feeding soluble nutrients rather than supportive the soil life cycle? Or ... what kinda chemicals is he talking about exactly?
Thank you for the knowledge available. Can I work for yall? I want to learn from the best. Can I see the original presentation of this video somewhere?
I’m grateful for the upload, but the camera needed to be on the slide screen more than the speaker. The images have been purposefully chosen to illustrate and reinforce what the speaker is saying. 😔
So I have a question hopefully someone here can help. So what about during flower? We take a bit if time and establish a soil food web, what goes on at the end of the cycle in flower? Is there an ideal difference for the flower phase? You you still flush your soil for a while at the end before harvest? Or Hows that work in no till organic soil indoor gardening?
Towards the end of flower the plant will feed the microbes less sugar (exudates) and the exchange of elements for sugar slows down. Also in autumn the soil temperature drops which slows down microbial activity too. Unless there are already water soluble nutrients present (monopotassium phodphate, calcium nitrate etc) then flushing is really not necessary. (If you have an EC or PPM meter then try reading input water and run off water to see if "free" nutrients are leached by flushing- the input and run off should be pretty similar values.
@@antoniovenezia2988 because I hear it also helps the growth of mycelium which is good if you want a lesser acid soil, but from what I hear, you want acid soils (ph 6,5-7,2) when growing canna :) I hear a lot of contradicting things on the internet, so confusing...
Perhaps.. but most likely no. Perhaps because the first mycelium species actually interwove with that green stuff in the ocean idk I forgot the exact plant. But what it did was go into its root system and take what it needs while giving the plant deposits. Crazy stuff, happened billions of years ago. Maybe one can train a mycelium shroom to interweave with cannabis. But I highly doubt as shrooms have been here forever they would've already as they cover 30% of the planet as is.

When transplanting is it better to separate vermicompost and mycorrhizae so as not to disturb symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi? should I mix or just add the worm casting on top of soil ? thank you !
Worm shit. Both, mix in is better tho for slow release. If added on top and you water from the top it breaks down faster. Or mix it with a little more medium and add on top.
Love the presentation. Get over the tilling bit. The soil you put in your raised beds come from somewhere. You mix different organic elements that come from somewhere and shovels and other equipment to move it.
6:56 that's the problem right there. I hate to say it but the gov needs to step up and start regulating what growers are aloud to put into their grows. Because it's a battle for that top shelf at the dispensery and you can bet your life some, if not most of those growers are pumping their plants full of pgr's. Why wouldn't they? I mean besides being an actual fucking human of course. But, "they gotta family to feed" and their clean weed ain't selling because so many other growers are using the same fucking steroids in their grows. No other product EVER has had a market value like cannabis. They're getting filthy rich. and we've all been groomed since who knows when.
So from what Jeff says cannabis likes bacterial soil being an annual and ph 7 or higher? I thought it was fungal liking and you wanted a ph a lil below 7? Boy was I off lol

You can see it in almost every culture. Look a the city of Las Vegas. Very diverse and very dangerous.
