I understand that for wheelchair users and those with not very good mobility, if you ask the crew, you enter the theatre a deck lower and they will take you to the front via an emergency exit.
Ok thanks for the info!
Thanks Guys, my wife and I are seriously considering a cruise with SAGA and your review has helped make some things clear. My wife has mobility issues, so we will keep your review in mind. Never know, we might bump into you in 2023! Cheers, Jim L
Glad it was helpful! Ww have just had a fabulous cruise on Adventure of the Seas too. We also have lots of Saga information on our website here which may be helpful - paulandcarolelovetotravel.com/tag/saga/
Great editing, love the mix of you guys talking with video too. Looks a nice ship, but think we’ve got a while to wait until we can cruise Saga 😊
Thanks so much, appreciate that! Yes you young ones of got a few years yet!
This video is brilliant!!! The editing is superb. :)
Ahh thank you that means a lot! 😍
Bit puzzled if our cruise is going ahead this October 2020. P&O cancelled until next year. The new saga ship is sailing November which is a surprise. The thought of walking around with masks etc is not a holiday so hope Saga give us an option of changing our booking. We shall see.
P&O have only cancelled until 15th October so far, we are booked on the Iona for the 31st October so keeping everything crossed! Saga have said that the new Spirit of Adventure first cruise is November 5th, so will be interesting to see. Hope so we can't wait to cruise again, though it will be different!
I really enjoyed this video. Great interaction between you both, always makes me smile. Love your top 5 and understand that the stairs in the theatre could be an issue for some travellers.
Thanks for watching and your lovely comment, that makes us smile too! 😍
Excellent information but for your dislike it was a little confusing - how can you all have a good view unless the theatre is tiered?! You cannot have it both ways! There are always a lot of steps in any cinema or theatre that you go to and surely it would be better for your father not to sit in the front row and still have a good view?
realrhodes There’s a bone of contention on the SOD and the steps in the Playhouse which is a Muster Station too. 400+ getting in and out of this place in an emergency ,less mobile, not a great plan if evacuation became necessary. Slopes would have been easier.
Thanks for your comment but you can have it both ways. Not every theatre has steps, you can have tiers with good views but also a slope to get to the front seats. We have had this on other cruise ships.
Totally agree Jacqueline it is an issue and slopes would of been much better.
If memory serves me right you can in fact enter at the lower level, I.e. you don’t have to walk all the way down from the top. Speak to crew on board, after all the stage is at lower level so there must be a way even if you have to ask help and permission.
Regarding the theatre. For the less able the last 2/3 rows at the back of the theatre is for them so you were well looked after. We do 2 cruises a year on Saga so why are these people complaining about the seating. Who in their right mind with walking issues would want to sit in the front when you are catered for perfectly at the back. We have just returned from our cruise in May 2024 and again could not fault Saga. Only negative, their quality of slippers has gone from quality to economy, shame that. Our suite was perfect in every way.
We love Saga too. We were travelling with my Dad who is in a wheelchair and loves sitting near the front at the theatre.
Umm surely not this was the only entrance to the theatre ? Knowing SAGA there would be another entrance.
It was the only one we could see. There was a fire door exit to the front right of the stage but did not see any other entrances. .
My thoughts precisely!
